(3) John,
Good morning. This is an email I received from my wife, Karen. A customer, of the company she works for, has suffered a tragic loss. Please, add to the prayer chain our prayers for the Holland family.
Subject: Fwd: Fern Holland
Keep James in your thoughts and prayers.
Dear all:
I am sure by now that most of you have heard about the tragic death of James Holland's sister. I know that we all send him our deepest sympathy and prayers. The world would not have the hope it does without people like her in it. I respect and admire her courage and fortitude to take on such a daunting task. I have included in this email some news articles about what happened.
CBS News Anchor Dan Rather reports one of the Americans killed in Tuesday's ambush was Fern Holland, 33, from Oklahoma City, who was working with Iraqi women on the interim constitution and helped write its women's rights section.

Holland was quoted as telling friends before she left the United States, "If I die, I know that I'm doing precisely what I want to be doing."

Thanks,
Miguel Flores

(4) Please add Maria Onofre's Parents to our Prayer Requests:
Her Father - Luz Onofre, He is on Dialysis & has had Heart Bypass Surgery this last week.
Her Mom - Maria Onofre, Thyroid Surgery Due Early April, after ? Biopsy

We ask the KCI Prayer Team to agree that Our God will send his hand from above; and rid them of these afflictions & diseases, and deliver them out of great waters, ... Psalm 144:7
Thank you, Ava Lott
(5) Dear John,
Today, my heart is very heavy.

This past Friday I spoke to Ray, He is well and good spirits. I received an email from him, that was written on Saturday. He stated in his letter, how torn apart the country is and the living conditions. He said their days are long and sleep does not mean much around their. Taking a shower is a luxury, they are currently sleeping on the floor, because their stuff has not cauth up to them. He said that he, has encountered Iraqis that have spit on his truck and others that love the fact that we are their to help. It just devastated my heart to read what my son had wrote. He said there are amenities in life, that when taken away, or you realize their importance. There have been so many places he has laid his head to sleep. He never thought it would be in the middle of the desert, in the cab of his truck and that he will be laying in the kitchen tonight. He had to decided if it was going to near the stove or water heater.

Then on Sunday I received another email from him. He wanted to let me know that the 2 soldiers killed n Sat were within his group. He said that they had a rough weekend but that they needed to stay focus on what's ahead and their mission. He asked that we keep both families in prayer during this time.

John, if we could continue to pray for all their safety. Also to pray for both families that lost their love ones.

Thanks

Praise God!! After 7 hours in surgery My brother in law Ramiro came out doing fine. Through our prays and faith God brought him through once again. The Doctor says it is luck that he continues to go on. There was a lot of blood around the heart prior to surgery but the Holy Spirit was there in the room mending his Heart. This was not luck, this is the healing power of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Thank all of you for taking the time to pray in faith! Ramiro is now resting at the University Hospital. Glory to God!!!

Hi John,

I am happy to hear that you brother in law Ramiro is doing well, Praise God...

This writing came to me over the weekend so now I paste it hear, because I think it fits most of these requests...

Jesus Came and Calmed the Storms

“On the evening of that same day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake”. So they left the crowd; the disciples got into the boat in which Jesus was already sitting, and they took him with them. Other boats were there too. Suddenly a strong wind blew up, and the waves began to spill over the boat, so that it was about to spill over with water. Jesus was in the back of the boat, sleeping with his head on a pillow. The disciples woke him up and said, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are about to die?”

Jesus stood up and commanded the wind, “Be quiet!” and he said to the waves, “Be still!” The wind died down, and there was a great calm. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Why are you frightened? Have you still no faith?” But they were terribly afraid and said to one another, “Who is this man? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”. Matt 4:35-41

Sometimes in our lives the storms come, no amount of reading, teaching, scripture, prayer, truth prepares us for the surprising storms that appear. At times we are unable to stop those storms, we forget or get frozen with fear and our minds go blank. We can become angry or frightened or fear that we are losing control, we can begin to doubt who we are in Christ, lose our faith, strength and courage as those storms seem too big to handle. Storms from screaming children, difficult people & circumstances, hostile environments, illness, worry, stress, debt, burdens etc.. that don’t seem to go away just build up. Just like the disciples realised that they were not prepared for that storm, we can also realise in the midst we are unprepared when the strong winds begin to blow and shake our home.

The disciples knew that they couldn’t quieten that storm on their own, only Jesus could still those waters. Just as the Lord quietened that storm, so he can quieten the storms in our life and within us by his presence. We need the presence of the Lord in our lives, to nourish, sustain, help, grow, guide, hide, bring us to rest and still the raging waters. We don’t need to react all we need to remember is to ask the Lord for his presence in our lives to quieten the storms in Jesus’ name and he will quieten down our storms and the rest we find in his presence is like soothing balm amidst the turmoil.

Love and blessings in the Lord,

Serenity

Serenity,

Amen!

Thank you for the message. I agree with you and we also have to understand everything is temporary and light compare to the eternal glory that is promised to us. As we draw closer to the Lord the more we learn and start to see the picture. Knowing that what ever we go through wheter trials, burdens, illness, God has control and is in charge. Your right without the Lord the storms would not quiet as easy. God is eternal, and because the spirit and God fills and hearts, mind and body, we are forever one with all that is real and devine. The Lord blesses are life and mends are soul. Nothing is too big for God!

God bless you from the bottom of my heart!

Have a peaceful Day!!!
