Please pray for me. About 6 months ago I was laid off. This was a blessing with the things I learned about Jesus. I found that my faith was very wavy and I needed to get right with GOD. I am just finishing a three month contract to hire and I don't feel that the posision represents who I am. I feel that there is alot of immorality within the management. I feel that they want me to be the same way. In God's holy name I will not change who I have become. During all of this I feel that my faith is beginning to waiver again. Please pray for me to continue to see the truth. I have started to smoke again after 5 year of being smoke free. Please pray that I will stop this terribly sinfull behavor.

Marckc,
God is faithfully. I can relate to some of the feelings you might have with working in a highly secular environment. If you have not read the devotional from today "The Potter's Hand", I would encourage you to do so. It is very encouraging and reminds us of why God allows us to go through tough time. I will be praying for you. The same strength that God has provided you during your trials in the past is still there to get you through the current ones. Praise God for His never ending, grace, strength, and love. Your brother in Christ, Shawn |

Marckc -
Hang on brother, and know that no one can make you change who you become except yourself. You are responsible for you. I know and understand, like many others, the struggles of living day to day in this world. It is tough and wears us thin at times. But know that Jesus came to overcome the world. My encouragement to you is to read and study the book of James. He gives us practical steps in living our life in this world while remaining faithful to our walk. James starts out by telling us for a fact that we will have all kinds of trials and troubles in this world. But, instead of struggling, we should be glad for it as it will develop in us patience or perservence. And if we hang on and fight the good fight, patience develops in us and causes us to be complete and lacking no thing. But we also need to ask for wisdom and not waiver in our faith and God will give us that too. Then James goes on to tell us that those of us who will perservere, we wil be blessed (i.e. fortunate, happy and envied) because once we have stood the test we will receive the crown of life. Following this and throughout the rest of the book, James gives us "if this happens" scenarios, and supplies us with "here is how to deal with it" answers. Over and over again he address life situations and gives us ways of escape for each. With each scenario it is important for us to reflect back to the first chapter on what perservence produces in us and the promise God makes to those who will stand the test. When we do this, we are encouraged in our faith and it helps us to be able to stand. You can do this Marckc! Be strong and of a good courage for the Lord your God is with you! Be blessed my friend! Marckc,
My advice would be to lean heavily upon the Lord through prayer and committing His Word in your heart. God may have you there for a season to be a light to someone or to prove your faith. With the help of the Lord, you can be what He wants you to be, even though you find yourself a square peg in a round hole, so to speak. I’ve been there for periods of time, but God has blessed and I am a better person for it. You will be in my prayers. Howard has given great advice in reading James. I would also suggest that you read Proverbs, a book of wisdom. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of lifeâ€. God bless you, Chelki Exodus 34:6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;" "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" -- Jesus, the Messiah!, our salvation. |

Shawn, Howard, Chelki,
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I did read the book of James and it had great words that I need to keep in mind and in my heart. I know what I should do but I just needed some outside guidance and wisdom. Sorry that I came to you with trivial issues. Others have much larger issues than I do. So I pray for wisdom to do Gods will. I pray for the sick and hurting that ask for help on this board and may they be hilled by Gods glory. Thank you and God bless you all Marc. |

Marckc,
While others may have prayer needs regarding life and death, I do not take yours lightly because I know the emotional, physical and spiritual stress this kind of emvironment can place upon you. You will be in my prayers. Above all, let the Lord be your counselor, your guide and strength. Blessings, Chelki Exodus 34:6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;" "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" -- Jesus, the Messiah!, our salvation. |

Marckc,
I would like to lift you up in prayer. Most gracious and holy God we boldly come to you asking that you work in Marckc situation right now. I ask that each need is met according to your riches in glory. I ask that you give him the strength to see things and people as you see them. Lord we lift up those in charge and ask that they act according to your direction. Lord we stand today in agreement with one another knowing that you are in the mist. Father we thank you right now for all you’re doing, have done and will do in the future. We thank you and we praise your name Amen. Luke 2:49b Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business? |

I am praying for you to be strengthened in your faith and to be better able to obey God's word and that you be stronger and be able to quit smoking again. You may need christian fellowship with other believers to have support and be disipled in the word of God. As you commit each day to him in word of prayer and in his word, he will guide and help you with the daily problems that come up. |
