Rebecca was raped by her stepfather and one of her uncles, which led to having 2 miscarriages and a total hysterectomy at 21 due to severe scarring and endometriosis caused by the abuse. She has had 12 surgeries/procedures including back surgery, gall bladder removal, repair to colon, repair to the ureters. All of this has created her gastric and intestinal trauma. Most of the time when she tries to eat she vomits. She was just turned down again by social services. She cannot work and as sick as she is living by herself who would be there to drive her to the ER when she gets sick which is almost daily. Where she lives is about 15 minutes from Pelahatchie, MS which has a population of 1477 they have 2 grocery stores one which did say they would keep a glass jar for donations. Her church is doing what they can. She does go to a public hospital she is treated at the University Medical Center of Jackson. The procedure she needs is still in its clinical trial phase and still being tested and therein is her problem. Most insurances do not cover it as at first it is a temporary pacemaker placed in the intestines to bypass the stomach, and hopefully if insurance will cover it they need to go back and have a permanent pacemaker put in. She has no insurance and was refused this procedure by her Dr. Abell. Rebecca is now down to 84 pounds and has a friend who is a lawyer that is trying to find some doctor that will help me without payment up front. Rebecca had to go back to the ER as she threw up blood so violently it came through her nose. They gave her fluids, a unit of blood and IV meds and then sent her home. Her red blood cells are not multiplying like they should and that is a concern.

If you guys live in Mississippi, take her to University Hospital in New Orleans, "It use to be called Charity Hospital. They see patients according to their income. Just call and check, I haven't live their in 15 years, some things may have changed.

Heavenly Father, I lift up this girl to you. Praying for healing physically, spiritully, emotinally. Help her to get the help she needs. I pray for encouragement and safety. In Jesus name.

Heavenly Father hear our prays for Rebecca. By your stripes we will be healed. We are nothing without you Jesus so please interceed to our Father for this child whom you knew before she came into this world. Jesus I pray for this miracle for your Glory. Amen

I am happy to report that Rebecca is now going to get a feeding tube. One step at a time, but all of this looks good!

This is not good! Below is the email I received from Mary Alice regarding Rebecca. Please pray for Rebecca!

Karen gave me her phone number and i called her this evening. ReBecca is not able to sit up so she cannot email me. Her cell phone is in the car and I cannot get through on her regular phone as she has call blocking.

The news is not good. It sounds like her body may be rejecting the feeding tube that was inserted. We are hoping that Steven will be taking her back to the hospital tonight. The darn nurse said to wait until she comes in to be seen.

I have never seen such a system as Mississippi has. The Govenor of that state should be hog tied and rode out of town on a rail. Their hospital plan must be for the rich and hoity tioty.

As you have probably guess by now I am devestated at this news and am worried beyond belief. This girl is fighting for her very life and their hospital system does not seem to care if she dies, but please not on their doorstep. Sorry to be so blunt but right now that is how I feel.

God may healing take place. You are in control. May Your will be done. Let peace, love, hope, and faith grow in Rebecca. May You be with those who are caring for her. May everything work out for your honor and glory. In Jesus Name. Amen.
