Ok--here's my life...12 years ago my husband left the children and me(after 16 yrs of marriage)...I am thankful for the Lord providing during that time..We are still legally married today, but now he wants to do a divorce. I need wisdom in this as I am now in another country and we have a handicapped daughter who will be dependent on me (he has clearly stated he doesnt want her) I am not a fighter (God hasn't yet assigned me to that ..angels fight we pray right?) I will pray for God to give you wisdom in this area. The situation you described sound like it has many parts to it and many options from a human perspective. I know that God can work through your decision on this to make him self known to those that are close to this divorce request. I know that God also wants to ultimately bring you and your family comfort and peace. I will pray that God will guide you in this.

Seek the Lord first, ask him for the things you have requested. He can and will restore your concerns. Do you belong to a local Church? Maybe you can get under a covering from a strong Church. I am sorry for all that you are going through that God would encourage your heart and strengthen you and provide all your needs and you would have wisdom . I pray too for your husband's salvation and a renewed love for you and your child. Keep in mind that you don't have to go through this alone.
