Christian Family,
I have a sibling that is addicted to Prescription medicine. Takes many times the prescribed amount. They can hardly function. They have been to rehab once for a few days, but did not think they have a problem. Our parents have died in the past year, they were betrayed by their spouse & the only child is bit wild. They have lived a non christian life seeking the next fun experience. They rarely take phone calls most of the time they waisted if they do. I wish I could say I have good relationship with them but I do not. I do pray for their recovery & for them to have a relationship with God, but frankly I think they may take too many pills for the next attention getting experience and not make it back. Any words of advice. |

Hi M. Green.
I will pray for your family today. I am convinced that the only thing we can focus on when a family member is reckless in such a manner is to play whatever role is appropriate in their life to the best of our ability. Although it is difficult, I think that we must not focus on the result of our love or prayers for them as much as we focus on simply being obedient to God by setting a good example of unconditional love. We must not over play our role in their life to the point of enabling them or delaying their inevitable trials. However, we also must not underplay our role in their life in order to protect our own expectations from being let down. Your brother in Christ, Shawn |

Thank you for your prayers. I often send the daily word to the spouse e-mail address. I hope they will find the peace that they are looking for, but it is up to God to help them out. It is also up to them to ask God for the help. I can only be there for them if they ask me for help.
Blessings, MSG |

Mr. Green,
I bind every foul spirit that tries to keep him in bondage. I apply the blood of Jesus to his situation. There is nothing God can't do for this circumstance. I pray that he will seek the Lord's face and If he needs to be set free then I ask you to stand with me rigth now in agreement for your relative. In Jesus Name! Amen! There is a book from Neil T. Anderson called bondage breaker that migth help. I have used it many times and I have been free from drugs and alcohol for almost 12 years. James 4:7-8 7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. I have to submit myself to God daily! He has brought me along way. This message board has many people that will pray for you and your family. Reply back if you need any additional prayer! God Bless you and keep you! 22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 John Trevino |
