Good morning, I'm in desparate need of prayer. I'm a divorced, single Mom of three little boys. I've been divorced for over a year and I'm still hurting and suffering from the things that my ex has done to our family. I've been crying alot and I don't even have the will to pray. My walk with the Lord is so clouded and broken. My ex has been leaving, coming back, leaving, coming back, etc. I finally pursuaded him to attend counseling; however, he only went for 2 months. During that time, I fell into the trap that things were going to work out and now I'm expecting our fourth child. My ex has not spoken with me since I told him of the pregnancy. He has since told his family that the child is not his and now when I go the pick up my kids from their home during his parenting time, they call me slut, whore and pos. I've never been with anyone other than my husband and this just causes me unending pain. My kids are suffering as well. This hurts me the most. My ex has been so selfish and is putting himself above his own kids. He has had an affair, is going to strip clubs on almost a weekly basis and is bent on having "fun". His parents seem to be the never ending "checkbook" for him. They recently gave him a car so he could have more money to "enjoy" his new life. They know what he's doing, but they still support him. The kids and I are just barely scraping by...his parents are still trying to get me to waive child support because they wonder how their son is going to have the "life" that he wants. This is all so very difficult to hear. Sometimes, I just want to scream. But all I do is sit here and cry and hurt. I feel like I have no where to go.

Lord my heart hurts deep for this family. She is crying out to you even though her will to pray is weak. Lord only you can comfort and provide wisdom to this family. You have done it many times before and have all the power to continue to bring people through the valleys. I pray that this family reaches out to you as your reach out to them. I pray that the EX husband is convicted by the Holy Spirit and drawn to an understanding of who You are and Your will for his life.

Daphne,

I know that it is hard to pray and reach out to God during this time, but I plead with you.. don't pray to Him because you can see HOW He will take care of you, because right now you might not be able to see HOW. Simply pray out of obedience that HE CAN take care of you and DOES have the power to bring you through this situation. Be honest with Him when you pray. Tell Him that it is hard to pray. Tell Him if you have feelings of doubt and frustration. I know that this is easier sad than done, but I will be lifting your family up in prayer. Nothing is too hard for God to take care of.

6Are not five sparrows sold for two pennie? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. (Luke 12:6-8)

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalm 18:2)

Daphne,
My prayers are for you and your children. Father God, I come to you lifting up Daphne and her children. Father grant them peace in their home. Father we ask that you start something new in the heart of her EX. God fill him with Your love, fill him with the desire to leave his old ways, to seek You Lord, and do what is right. Father we also pray for Daphne, Lord. Give her the strength and guidance that will guide her through these rough waters. Father; hear her heart’s plea for guidance and care. Lord bring to her the help and love of family. Let them not be casting stones in judgment. Father only You can right all the wrongs that have been incurred here. Father only You can restore peace and love in this family. Father bless Daphne and her children, and blessing be upon her unborn child. May this child be born in to a family of love. Lord please provide the ways and means for their needs. Please ease her pain, Lord. Let Daphne find in You the rest, peace, love to see her through these trials. We ask for these things in our Lord and Saviors’ name Jesus Christ. All Praise and Glory to Him. Amen.

My salvation and my honor depend on God. He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. (Psalm 62: 7-8)

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
(Colossians 3:14-17)

In Christ’s Love,
Brian

The Lord knows that you are weak, broken and sad. I believe He has already been intervening in your behalf. It is no accident that you have found this website and Steve's daily devotions and you have been heard. We will put our faith together for you. The bible says when we are weak, then He (God) is strong. also Isaiah 41:11 " Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." The holy Spirit helps us in our weakness as we don't know what to pray or how, but He intercedes in our behalf to the Father with words that cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26-28. "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." James 4:8. The Lord is near those who call upon Him., Psalm 145. The Lord is near those who are broken hearted and saves those who have a contrite spirit.,Psalm 34:18.

I'm praying for you and your children and for your ex and his parents that they would find salvation and God's love and mercy. May Christ strengthen you and encourage you and give you a boost in faith.
