I have been really stressed lately and overworked. It's taking a toll on me and my personal life as well as my personal well being.
I don't feel happy as I used to be especially with my current relationship. I'm struggling with an issue that doesn't seem to be getting any results. All I'm doing is causing tension and anger. The more tired I get the more frustrated I get with my boyfriend. It's an issue I've asked God to intervene on b/c I believe my convictions are right. However, I may over react b/c I'm not in a refreshed state of mind. I tend to react to my emotions instead of the truth. I'm in need of prayer for Peace & Happiness to be restored to my life. I pray for God's guiding hand. Please, fellow christian friends, pray with me. Thank you.

Father,

I am praying to You on behalf of Lisa’s request. Father, her heart longs for more strength and joy in this time of need. This can only come from You. Lead and guide her in her relationship, work, and life. Father You will never leave us or forsake us. Thank You for hearing our prayers and we acknowledge that YOU have all the power needed to give us the desires of our heart. In Jesus name, Amen

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." (Deuteronomy 31: 8)

3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. (James 1:3-5)

1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (Hebrews 12: 1-3)

Your brother in Christ,

Shawn

I will pray for you and your boyfriend. Those verses Shawn gave you are great for you to meditate on and pray for. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. He is there with you even though it looks like he's not. He is our peace. Trust him with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding. He can be trusted, he can't lie.

Lisa,
God is not the author of confusion, stress, tension, doubt, depression, over-reaction and tiredness. He has not placed you on this earth or on your job for you to do this to your body, mind or spirit. As a dear friend of mine said to me on a post once, the only thing that is hindering you from peace and your growing with Christ is you! And how right He was. Lisa, I encourage you to let go and let God. Allow him to freely come into your life. I am the queen of overworked but I realized that if you are not happy then at the end of the day, it doesn't mean anything. A good book to read is " Nice Girls Don't Get The Corner Office" By Lois Frankel. It doesn't matter what profession you are in, office or retail, sales clerk or mechanic. It teaches you the fundamentals of how not to be stress and be professional at the same time.

Lastly Lisa, I also encourage to have what I like to call "personal me time." This is either before the day starts or once you get home. If you have a family tell them that the first 15-20 minutes when you enter, is allowing you to destress. Don't pickup the phone. Light a candle, take a bath, even meditate. Meditation is great because you can also concentrate on your relationship with the lord. Put the scriptures that Shawn gave on your mirror in the bathroom on frig. so you can constantly tell yourself that stress is not of christ. This me time should happen everyday - On Sats and Sun give yourself more time. Then allow your boyfriend to incorporate this as well. You will see a big difference in attitude, in everything. I hope this helps.

Father God,
Lisa has so much weight on her shoulders, Lord, remove this weight that you did not put on her. Give her peace, love, comfortability. Show her your purpose and will. Lord, you are not the author of confusion, stress, tension, or anything that will cause Lisa pain and anguish. Remove all of these things from her life that is not of you. Center her love for you lord. Allow her to put you first. Allow her to be open and honest with you and for Lisa to tell you exactly everything she is going through. You are an awesome God that answers every prayer. Lord, I thank you for Lisa's faith and her will to have a closer relationship with you. I thank you for her honesty. Father thank you for what you are doing in her life. Praise you Jesus!
Amen!

Lisa, you have the victory - its up to you to claim it! I will continue to pray for you.

Your sister in Christ,
Nicole (NB)
XOXOXOX
