My 5 year old daughter (who had never been in daycare) is having an incredibly hard time adjusting to kindergarten. She doesn't understand that she has to do work and do it neatly. I have been very frustrated with this situation. Most schools don't have time for children who are "out of the box". Please pray for me to see that God is working in this matter and that I can learn to operate out of faith and not anger concerning this problem. I want the Lord to change my operating system so that I do not get angry but stay calm and be able to hear His voice. Grace is immature and has some learning delays. Please pray that she begins to cooperate and listen and do the right thing. Thanks,Sharon

Sharon,

I have a 4 year old boy that has a hard time speaking and adjusting also. I have been praying and asking God to teach me how to help him. My wife and I have been praying over him before he goes to sleep and when he wakes up. May the Lord continue to clam there hearts and through his grace and mercy may there be a change for his service and glory.

I will go in prayer for you and your daughter.

May the Lord open the heavens for your family.

22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Father -

We lift Grace to you and ask for your guiding touch in her life. Lord there is no one to big or to small that You cannot help to change. Move her heart supernaturally and allow to experience and understand the joy and peace the submitting to authority brings. Help her to maintain a sweetness of spirit in all that she does and says. Father be with her teachers, give them help in guiding, loving and helping Grace through this transistion period. Father keep Sharon's heart soft and pliable. Let her know your peace and to understand that her eyes are to be on You Father and not the circumstances surrounding these issues. Father, you have the final word, not the circumstances. May your love, peace and joy flood the school and household. We love you and claim these things in your precious son's name. Amen

Grace is in my prayers and so are you. I know what you are feeling, my grandson is a handicapped child with learning disability. Stay diligent in helping her and feed her the word of God a lot and pray with her and teach her to pray. God can do what we can't.

My son is 8 yrs old and struggles with Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD. I have known this since he was 3 yrs old. It is not always easy to get through the day...sometime not even an hour. However, God has blessed us with an exceptional school with very caring and patient teachers.

This is what gets me through the tough times...I pray to God for strength and patience...and I think back to all the mile stones that Josh has reached. He WILL learn to handle himself, and so WILL your child...with love, patience, and God's grace.

I will keep you both in my prayers.

Dear Sharon, how is your daughter doing in school? Have you seen any change at all in the teacher's response to her? Praying for you! Terri

Thanks for all your prayers. Grace has ADD. We had her tested this past week. That answers many questions that I have been having. Please pray for the Lord to guide us with treating this problem. We really don't want to put her on the medications that are available. We would like to go the natural route with this. She is learning in school, but she cannot sit still for very long and she has a tough time concentrating. She sort of zones out at times and can be very stubborn. But, she truly is our gift from our Lord and we are crazy about her. She is full of love and doesn't show any agression. We are thankful for that. I am thankful for this particular Body of Christ and your support in prayers.

Dear Sharon, both my son and I have been diagnosed ADD. We have tried Ritlin and Adarall and both have had terrible side effects. There is a non-amphetimine Statera; but, I don't know the side effects. Right now, I am trying a B-12, B-6, Folic acid combination with more protein in the diet. I need to also add exercise. Hopefully, this will be a better solution. I will be thinking of you. As for the stubborn side, I wish I had tried distraction when my son was small rather than trying to meet him headon. Oh, also, I know discipline (routine) is critical. It can work wonders to add order and decrease confusion. May God be with You as You learn to meet Grace's needs. Much love, Ter

Sharon,

May prayers are with your family!

May the Lord intercede for Grace and restore her concentration. May your love and peace give her a sound mind. In Jesus Name! Amen!

Hello everyone. Grace is doing great. The doctor put her on some medication right before Christmas and it has made a huge difference. Her teachers are so excited! She is blooming and learning really fast. My husband and son are in Jamaica on a mission trip. They will come home on Monday of next week. Please pray for the Lord to minister through them and keep them safe. God is faithful and true.

Sharon, that's wonderful news! I am so very happy for you and for her. May God bless your husband and son. May He grant them grace and keep them in His watchcare. May He give them many opportunities to see His power manifest through them as they walk in obedience to His Spirit. And, may your family be blessed abundantly for your faithfulness to our Lord. <3 lots, Terri
