Charles, our "prodigal" brother,
Welcome back to your rightful place in the Lord's Nation! I praise the spirit of repentance that the Lord has put in your heart because it is a confirmation of His teachings:
Luke 15:24 "... for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found." Luke 15:10 "... I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Matthew 9:13 "But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, ... but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." Revelation 3:19 "Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent."
Do not become weary -but determined- in pursuing the reunification of your family. God has given you the direction, keep walking.
Joel 2:12 "Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: 13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil."
Remission of sins by the Grace and Mercy of the Lord is one fundamental doctrine of the Christian faith that convinces us of the fact that our God Is the True God, the Creator of Heavens and Earth, Who can change our hearts and minds by the power of His Will for our salvation. Once He sees your true repentance He forgives you and restores you. That also includes turning the bitterness of your wife into forgiveness and acceptance. Be patient and consistent. Prayer, humility, and deeds born out of your renovated faith are the way to go. Our prayers are with you.
