Good Afternoon Prayer Chain! Please Lift Up The Following To The Lord! Glory To God For The Praise!


(1) Good morning John,
I have large prayer request. I would like if we could pray for a community were my mother in law, Amelia Cortez, lives. We left San Antonio on Tuesday to go to Cross Plains, TX, they had a wildfire it that small town. About 1000-1200 people live their. About 60-70 structures, the Methodist Church and 7600 acre were destroy. The fired killed 2 elderly ladies, they were not able to escape their homes. We left because we lost contact with my mother in law. After arriving, we found her, someone had opened up their home for people to go. All along to road going into town we saw cars and trucks that were burnt. Every other house had been burned, cattle that were trapped had died also. Her house and business was not damage by the fires, but came very close. It was so heart breaking when we finally were able to see all the damage. We checked on family and friends. We knew about 40 family's that lost everything. If we could keep the community in pray, God will know who we are praying for. To give them comfort and strength. That families will remain strong during this time.

(2) Hello Brother John,

I am asking for unity in faith thru prayer for a boy named Tyler. He is only 11 years old and has been diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis. This has already been showing signs in his hands and feet. It has already worked into his nerves. However, the Dr.'s have done DNA test to determine what type of disease this is and how long he has to live. Most kids do not live past 21. However, they have not been able to find what type or stage this is. This young man wants to be an Evangelist. He has already started in his school by holding bible classes during recess. God has great plans for him and will use him in a mighty way. Please stand in agreement with me that he has no disease and that he is healed in the name of Jesus. For God is a merciful God who calls upon his children. I believe with faith that the God that healed the crippled man has already begun to heal this child. It is has already been done in the spiritual and is beginning in the physical. Amen

(3) This is anonymous prayer request - literally - I don't even know what to ask for. I just know my family needs healing on many levels - physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally - and probably intertwined in there somewhere is a need to heal the soul.


(4) My husband, Donnie Fritts has been battling a very rare cancer since Feb 2002
In Aug 2003 they removed a whole lot of his face.
They are now trying to rebuild him a face.
It is a long, hard, and very painful process.
I am his full time caregiver and it gets very hard sometimes. Trying to always be confident and upbeat and encouraging, I need your prayers to be strong for Donnie.

He has been going to churches to give the testimony and it has really touched a lot of people but he is human and it really gets him down sometimes when he has to look into the mirror daily and see what cancer has done to him.

Debbie McBride is under going intensive Brain surgery, trying to remove a tumor. May the Lord's hands, be the hands of the surgeon. May his power manifest while we pray in faith. Hi John and everyone on the prayer chain. I just want to wish everyone a very Safe and Happy New Year. I also want to give thanks to our God almighty. He has been so good to me and my family. I want to thank everyone, with all my heart, for all the prayers that are said. I know that there are times that we feel no one cares or loves us. And that there are times we feel all alone. But you are so wrong. Just look around you. Open your eyes to all the wonderful things that God has provided. He is there and so are we. Never give up and keep your faith strong. God will answer your prayers, maybe not exactly how you wanted, but He will answer. Just keep your mind and heart open. Praise God Almighty. He loves you and so do we.

Near You
I am holding you near to me in my loving thoughts and prayers.
Dear one, enfolding you in my thoughts, I feel near to you. Even though I may not be with you in person today, I still feel a connection through the warm embrace of our mutual thoughts and prayers.
Whether we are in the same room or separated by a great distance, we are linked by our love and support. This reminds me that I am always near you.
You are precious to me. When I rise in the morning and see the sun, I think of you. I know this same sun shines upon you. When I see the moon in the evening, I remember that the same moon shines upon you also.
Wherever we are, God is blessing us. Knowing that we appreciate and support each other in all we do, we share a nearness that enriches us and our love for each other.

Built on a Rock

It takes great effort to attach a foundation to a rock. A house built on sand provides instant comfort; building on a rock is laborious and tedious. Yet building on sand leaves the builder in a vulnerable position, while the one building on the rock is secure.
How can you tell what kind of foundation a life has been built on? Watch to see what happens when a storm comes. A life built upon the Word of God will withstand the very storm that sweeps away the life that did not heed God's Word.
There are no shortcuts to spiritual maturity. Maturity only comes through hard work and obedience to what God says. The next time you hear Jesus speaking, immediately begin to firmly build His truth into your life, so that no storm can unsettle you."
