My mom and dad are continuing in their bitter fight with each other.....very sad and hard to watch....I have confronted them both about forgiveness but the battle rages on.....it is very awful.....pls pray they will make their amends...my mom is continually running to the doctor for medication and my dad continues his outward behavior for whatever pleasure or comfort it brings him....
Thanks Church!

Love,
Lori

Lori, I will continue to pray for your parents. Stay encourage.

Father,
The spirit of confusion or frustration is not of you. The enemy comes to destroy what you have put together, yet we know that your word is merciful and true. We thank you for delivering this family and restoring your love and grace that the enemy is trying to take away. We bind outside forces that the head of this family seeks. You have called him to be the head not the tail and anything that is not of you lord, we ask that you remove from his life! Thank you for your healing and your power over this family. We thank you for using Lori as a vessel to her parents. Lord, your word states that “children obey your mother and father”….yet God these parents are not obeying you! Lord, we ask for your obedience to come over these parents so that they can be an example. In Jesus name, AMEN!

Dear Lori, I don't know if this is even possible; but, I had to sit down with my folks a few years ago and tell them what their fighting did to me...How I hated it when I was little and it brings up all the same feelings today. I told them that they are adults and have been doing this for 45 years and that it's time they figured out a way to live the few short years they have left in peacefulness. I was respectful; but, stern. They were so ingrained in this behaviour, so used to it, that they weren't even aware of how it impacted everyone around them. Today, they quibble a little bit; but, a very little bit. I have offered coping strategies over the past two years when questions came up over "fairness" or ways to respond and it seems they are really trying to make the change. Could this work for you? Soteria....I did exactly this a couple of weeks ago...my dad has given in some...but my mom when she talks to me never fails to bring up bad pts about him....really right now, I don't respond to it...I pray and am letting God take care of it.....now I am not so hurt as I get angry.....I am just thankful I am not taking sides anymore...as I did on my mom's behalf...but just pray that their tactics to divide will fail miserably and immediately with whoever they are talking with....

thanks,
Lori

Lori,

Thank You for allowing us to lift up your mom and dad in prayer. May the Spirit of God manifest in your parents hearts. May he open their hearts for healing, guidance, salvation, and love. Dear Lord intercede in their behalf, today and every day forward. May you mend the cracks of there souls.

God Bless you and your family.

great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Lori,
I was once in your position. My house use to be like the movie "War of the Roses", this is what I can say to you is to continue to pray. God will use you. Throughout the years my father was the same, seeking pleasures that suit him, but prayer conquers all.

Heavenly Father,
I come to you asking that you touch Lori's family. Restore to Lori's parents the love and peace that brought them together. I ask that you flow peace through their hearts where arguments and bitterness will pass away. I thank you for your grace and mercy. Please give Lori strength as you guide her to be the virtuous woman that you have called her to be. Praise your holy name, today and forever more.
Amen.

Your sister in christ,
Nicole (NB)
