I used to pray all the time. Now, I feel like maybe God says that He is getting tired of me. I was working on my credit and am involved in a relationship with a man that needs guidance. I want to have a close relationship with God but how do I do that? How do I begin that? Will God accept me and help me and guide me when I try so hard to be right? I once paid off all of my bills and raised my credit score almost 200 points. Now it has dropped almost 200 points. What do I do? I need help, I need prayer, and most importantly, I need God's help. But will he accept me after I vowed to do right?

I am not very good at advice but I do know that God is setting right next to you and he tells us that all we have to do is reach out and take his hand and he will lead us. How awsome is that truth?

Oh lord,

I pray that Iamavolunteer will reach out and take hold and experience the truth and love that you are. Let her know that all of your children make mistakes and fall down. I pray that it is realized that you are there and you will pick us up out of the muck that we get ourselves in.

Thank you so much marckc for that prayer. I want everyone to know that a miracle from God happened yesterday. I was sent a letter that stated a $10,000 credit card, purchased without my consent, will be removed from my credit report. God is moving so much in our lives. I just want God to know that I do love Him despite where I am right now in my life. I am not a bad person, I just work so hard to be right and then something always happens. I want so badly to be closer with God but just don't know how. When I reach out, will He accept me? I hope He will.

I would consider Paul a very Godly person but he wrote in Romans 7:15 "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do." Peter denied even knowing Jesus 3 times after Jesus was arrested. This tells me that even the people that are the closes to Jesus fall and sin against him. These two men continued their close relationship with God and were forgiven. I don't just think I know God is waiting for you to reach out for him. In James 4:8 "Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." This passage tells me that that as we draw close to him he will draw closer to you and your relationship will flourish.
