Lori,
Lori, So many times whether one keeps their job has nothing to do with how well they have performed. Sometimes people are hired to fill positions during a busy season -- once the seasonal work is over they are no longer retained. Most of the time, too, it is those with least senority who are layed off. Business practices are not always "fair" to someone wanting to get a start with a career. Just keep seeking the Lord and asking Him to provide. And always on whatever job you have, work at it as if it is to the Lord. He is Your Provider and I will pray He will meet all of your needs, whether with this job or another. Blessings, Chelki Exodus 34:6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;" "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" -- Jesus, the Messiah!, our salvation. |

LOri
I know you are very frustrated and understand that. I agree with Chelki's reply. Keep persevering in faith. It is one of your weapons against fear and despair. Galatians 6:9 exorts us," Be not weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." I like a previous message from Steve Troxel's devotions where he quoted scriptures about having even a little faith like a grain of mustard seed can yeild great results by God. Look at it as an oppurtunity to get something better or place you at the right place for the right people to come into your life at the right time. God has his plans. Psalm 34 reminds us that he will never forsake but bless the righteous who fear him. You are in my prayers. |

The merger is still producing conversations of cutting costs and saving money....the tension is very thick and emotions high...pls pray that I will see God's way thru this time....there is so much anger and backstabbing going on as people are
full of fear and other emotions...pls pray God will give me peace and to be light at this time in this situation......I also feel depressed, abandoned and lonely at this time....although God did give the support of a dear person at work ...pls pray for M as well during this time...and that we would continue to support one another.... Thanks, thanks! My previous employer wants me to come back but I don't know at this time if that is God's will...I ask for prayer on that as well.... love ya,\ Lori |

Hi Lori,
I have been sooo busy, I am finally back on the message board. Reading your message, I can relate, understand that the enemy comes in to do three things: KILL, STEAL, and DESTROY. Remember that you are God's daughter, no weapon will form against shall not prosper. Remember God said he will supply all your needs. Remember that silver and Gold isn't near enough of what God has in store, such as your cup runneth over full of his blessings. Your situation may be not where you want it to be but know that at the end of the tunnel there is light - Just wait on the lord and seek him for answers Heavenly Father, I come to you today lifting up my sister Lori. I asked that you give her wisdom and discernment first and foremost to seek you in all matters as well as for her to listen to your instructions regarding her job situation. I also ask that you remove any hinderances from her seeking you, remove fear, doubt, confusion, loneliness, disappointment and fustration, these things are not of you Lord. We thank you for giving her favor over her job situation. We thank you for wrapping your loving arms around her and providing your grace, We asked these things in your lovely son's name, Jesus. Amen. Keep your eyes on him Lori, God will always make it happen NB |
