Family,
I am asking that you pray for me.. There are several coworkers of mines that has done mean things and said mean things about me. At this point I find myself not wanting to be in the same space with them and when they talk it really bothers me. Please pray that God will give me a different spirit toward them. At this point I really do not like them at all. I know it is not right and I am really struggling with it. Please pray that I can learn to forgive people. That is one of my biggest and greatest challenges in life – that would be forgiving people who has caused me harm. I do not like the feeling I feel b/c I know in my heart it is not please to do.

I do have a question – can I forgive a person and not deal with them? I need some help/ direction with this.

Thanks,

Luke 2:49b Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?

Tanya, so good to "hear" your voice. Honey, I've been studying forgiveness just in the past few weeks; and, the Lord has shown me that the Greek word means to "set the captive free." The Lord showed me a small jail cell with iron bars. I held the key in my hand. A person I could not forgive was behind the bars and I was giving them orders...if they didn't do exactly what I wanted them to, I would yell at them or curse them. The Lord showed me this is what I am doing to anyone I refuse to forgive. I hold them in a prison and everytime I think badly of them or tell someone what they have done to me, I am calling curses down on them. He showed me that I have to take that key and release these people...set the captives free; because that is exactly what Jesus did for me. Forgiveness sets us free, too; because if we keep someone captive, we have to guard them and they are always somewhere in our minds. Their offenses are sitting in the shadows just waiting to come out and inflict pain on us again. When we set them free, the offenses leave with them; and, we are free. Soooo, all that to say, the Lord has shown me that to pray for blessings on my enemies is the best way to set us both free. With time, the prayers become more impassioned and more spirit led and more effectual and we find ourselves truly free. I've missed you, Tanya. I know you love the Lord dearly and I believe you will find God is faithful to grant you the ability to forgive just as He has supplied your every other need Smile My prayer for you tonight is this: Father God, gracious and merciful, so good to forgive us and to set us free...we come to You in Tanya's behalf asking that You work Your perfect work in her heart and grant her the ability to not only forgive; but, to bless these people who are speaking against her. Father, turn their meanness back on them. Grant that they will be ashamed of their bad behaviour as they see the sweet kindness that Tanya exhibits toward them. Grant that Your love may flow through her to them; and, that as a result of it Glory may rise to You and to Your beautiful Son, Jesus. We ask this in His Holy Name. Trustworthy is our God!

Tanya, remember: "It was not their hand that won the land. Neither did their arm bring them victory. It was His hand, His arm, and the light of His face for He loved them."

Much love, Terri

The best is yet to be...

Tanya
I am praying for you. It is spiritual warfare but the greater one is in you. You can do all things Jesus commanded because he strengthens you. Keep persevering as you have been.
