I have not been close to the Lord for a while (apex year), I got involved with drinking alcohol regularly, and feel ashamed that I allowed myself to get here in life. I have been through several years of hardships, (going through a divorce, then getting married very quickly). My husband is a Christian, but is also in the same back slid condition I'm in. We are having communication trouble. I'm asking for your prayers. I pray that my Lord will not give up on me, and that I will live a life before my husband in such a manor as to soften his heart toward our Lord. Steve, thank you for Gods Daily Word, and for this site. You are a God send, blessings to you. Faith in Him.

Faith,

One thing I will say is the LORD never ever gives up on us. We give up on him, we even give up on ourselves but he is still right there with us. I pray the Lord will remove the shame and replace it with sweet unspeakable joy. God Bless You!

It took 8 years of confusion and fighting and tears and threatened divorce but God answered my prayers. My husband and I are back in church, our children are baptized and we are happy than ever and I have to say, God did it all almost by magic. Just keep praying and believing, God will answer your prayers in his time.

the domino effect has begun! Budget cuts mean I more than likely will lose my job- how's that for over 10 years of seniority? Little language issue in the teaching contract that will be used against a few of us. Once the job goes, so does my health insurance, which is never good for someone who is recovering from cancer-and then losing the house will follow!

I have nothing in savings, no one to fall back on but myself- and there is no way to stop or slow down the avalanche that will follow

I am scared. Not sure what I am going to do.

Benjamin06 –

I don’t now you but I do know the LORD our God and he will make sure that all our needs our met. His word says it and we must know like we know that it will and shall be done. I know it can be hard to stay in faith during challenging times – but we must not give up on our heavenly father. Hang in there and pray and believe God for the finish out come. Don’t give focus on the need. God Bless You!

Your Sister in Christ!

Since last I posted about my wife, much has happened. She completed her final chemo treatment on the 13th of October and then began arrangements to begin radiation. We were told she would have 35 treatments over the course of 7-1/2 weeks, finishing up near the end of December. 3 days before her marker appointment, she started experiencing a pain in her back that was reminiscent of her breast tumor pain. She mentioned this pain at her marker appointment and, because she was having a PET scan done the next day, her marker appointment was rescheduled for 2 days after that. On that day we learned that her breast cancer had spread to both lungs, had been present before her chemo had started and was incurable. 5 days later the oncologist told us the cancer will spread to other parts of the body and with successful treatment she could expect 1-2 years of survival, without success only months. With my job going away at the end of December, we are in dire straights.

We know that all of this is in God's hand and His plan for us is in motion. We don't know what that plan is or what other challenges are coming, but my wife will be going home in the not too distant future.

Please pray that our faith holds and that we remain vertical in our focus, that my waves of depression subside, and that she and I can make the best of the time we have left together
