Family -

Have a urgent prayer request. Mom is gravely ill and we have hospice in. As I speak her breathes are more labored.

She is a stronger believer and knows that Jesus is on the other side waiting for her to come. I ask that you join in agreement for the Father's mercy and grace in coming for her soon and that she need not suffer long.

Also pray for my family as we transition to life without her. She was in many ways the backbone of the family. Pray to that we may be in a celebratory attitude for her as she begins life a new with our loving heavenly Father.

I love momma so very much and it is terribly hard to give her up. But I am reminded that she is not mine to give up but the Father's to call home.

Thanks for your prayers, love and support.

Howie,

You know that God has a home for her and her body will be glorified, when it's the Lord's time. I pray all of your family stay close in prayer, and remember God can still pull her through, for his service and glory! May you remember all the great things you love about her.

God show us your power.

for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Howie,

As I read your post about your mother illness, it is obvious how much you love her. The greatest gift you have given her is your love and care. Your family will be in my prayers for months to come.

God bless you!

Family -

Mom went home on June 22 at 6:30 pm. We had a memorial service for her on June 28th. It was a blessing to hear hundreds of folks tell me what a wonderfully strong, loving and kind woman she is. I heard over and over how their lives were touched by the love and kindness of my mother and how she always looked out for the needs of others instead of herself. The words humble, servant, kind and loving were used over and over. What a testimony of His love operating in her life!!!

Additionally, at her request, we gave the invitation to anyone who wanted to received Christ and two of my family members came forward. As I sat there with tears streaming I heard myself say that it is just like Mom to keep making an impact for Christ even from heaven. She is an incredible woman and her life of loving and serving people will be a legacy and testimony that lives on forever.

It blessed me tremendously to know that she took the commands of Christ to heart. To be a servant of Christ tirelessly meeting the needs of others. Mom is now home with Jesus, Dad, my brother and all of her family and friends.

It has been a difficult time for me as Mom and I were very close. She was my best friend as well as my Mom. I still struggle to hold back tears. I thought I was stronger than that.

Thank you for your prayers and your love. It was felt and much needed. I cannot wait to introduce you to Mom when we all finally meet face to face in heaven. She will bless your socks off.

Love to you all,
Howie

My prayer goes out to you and your family. May God heal your pain. Amen

Would to like to have met your mom. Sounds like she was an awesome God fearing ladie. I probably would have learned about God from her.

Howie,

It's very hard losing a loved one, but when we know that they were true children of God, it is so much easier to let go, because we know that they are in God's hands now! Be blessed to know that you had a God fearing mother who thought you so many wonderful things about God. So many parents tell their kid about God, but few actually live it! You are indeed blessed to have had that in your life!

I too am blessed to have a mother that loves the Lord!

Be encourged and continue where she left off! God bless you and your family!

Please know your mother is in a better place. My own mother died 10 years ago. It was very painful because she was my friend too. Time will heal the pain and only wonderful memories will remain.
She's still around, you'll realize that too.

When I drove my car, my mom always sat in the back seat. I usually would put my right arm up on the back of the passenger seat. Quite frequently, my mom would take my right hand while I drove and caress it. I really missed her touch.
Several years after she passed away, I was driving with my wife and daughter. My wife was in the passenger seat, our daughter was in the back seat. I had my arm on the passenger seat backrest and my daughter who was about 5 at the time, reached out at caressed my right hand just like my mom used to do. It even felt like her touch.
What more can I say other than I was humbled and thankful.
God Bless and be strong

Howie, just read about your momma; and, want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. It's funny how much more our parents mean to us as we get older. Their wisdom becomes more apparent as we face trials they've already been through. May God bless you and become to you a Mother as he has always been your Father. May you come to know His abiding comfort and tenderness as you look to him for a gentle touch. Take care! Terri
