Dear GDW readers,
I am asking you to pray for a situation that I find myself in. I have temporary custody of my two precious granddaughters (ages 4 and 6)because of the drug use of their parents. My husband and I are seeking premanent guardianship of these two little girls. We have a court day in late April, and if not then, then mid-May, for the judge to determine if we will be granted guardianship of them until they reach age 18. Please pray that the judge (Rice VanAusdale is his name) will have the wisdom and discernment of Solomon as he makes his decision about the future of these two little ones. I know that God is in control and that He loves these two little girls more than I do and that He wants the very best for them. My husband and I covet your prayers in this matter. We also need your prayers for strength, guidance, and patience as we care for two little ones at our age! We are in our late 50's and have been by ourselves for several years (our youngest child is 32 and has been married for 10 years!)so having two little girls in our house is a big change for us. They have been with us continually since the beginning of July last year, but we have had them off and on since August of 2004. They need stability in their lives more than just about anything right now. They have both been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Reactive Attachment Disorder, and we are currently getting them intensive mental health treatment to undo the damage that has been done. This is a long story just to say that we need a lot of prayer support at this time. Thank you so much!!

Dear Glenda...May the Lord God Almighty intervene in your behalf, and in behalf of these little children.

Father, You are the one Who looks with such delight on the little ones; the One Who told us we should become as little children, and what grave consequences were reserved for those who mistreat them. And, so, knowing what Your heart is, Father, we ask that you look with compassion and mercy upon Glenda. That You minister wisdom to those with authority over the circumstances and decisions, and that You act speedily to grant safety and stability to these children, and if it is Your will, to allow them to live with her. We are grateful for Your promises, knowing that we have but to ask in the Name of Your dear Son, Jesus, to receive. You are forever our Father God. Trustworthy is Your Name.
