April, I stand with you in prayer.
Father, I hurt deeply for this couple. Father I pray that you work in a mighty way. Father please show yourself to this husband and wife. Show them that through you they can make this marriage work. God show them that divorce is not the answer. God we pray that Satan does not have his way in their life. Please give April the strength and wisdom to deal with this situation. Thank you father for never leaving us. Amen. The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." (Deuteronomy 31:8) Your brother in Christ, Shawn |

Dear April, I have been through this situation and it is so very hard. In fact, the Scripture says that a married woman who is not loved is one of three things under which the earth trembles, one of four under which it cannot bear up( Prov.30:21&23). This gives us insight into God's compassion for women in this situation. I do know that if we can get to the point that we are loving without wanting or expecting anything in return, we will be set free from the hurt and fear that accompanies this circumstance. I was not able to do that and so I divorced; only to find that in my next relationship, I was facing the same thing. That was when the Lord gave me the insight to see that I was expecting love and faithfulness in return and that it was the expectation that gave the spirit of darkness power in our lives. I went to the Lord and asked Him to let my expectation be on Him alone. I began to minister love to my husband without even hoping for a response—simply looking for ways to love him and to lighten his load. As I did, I found myself changing. I was able to be more joyful and less depressed and depressing. Our relationship began to change as he felt the burden of trying to please me lift. We are now enjoying each other and God is working in other areas of our relationship as well. I do not know that my husband will choose to always stay with me. But, that is not a condition of our relationship anymore. My prayer for you is this:
Father, in Your great mercy, allow April to place all of her hopes and expectations upon You. Love her deeply and intensely in her soul, so that she has no need for love from this human world; but, so that it is a fringe benefit, a wonderful surprise when someone shows love to her. Allow her to see her husband as needing Your love; as having a burden that is heavier than he can bear. Allow her to see the ways that he is trying to either lighten the burden or to avoid the burden by seeking the things of this earth. Allow him to see the joy in April's life and to want the peace and rest that he sees in her. Allow Your precious Holy Spirit to work in their marriage and to bring healing and renewed love and affection between them. We look to You for intervention and for an answer that is greater than anything we can ask, or dream or hope for; according to Your Word and Your promise to us! In Jesus Precious Name we pray! Trustworthy is our God! The best is yet to be... |

April,
I pray that the Lord intercedes in you families behalf. We will take the trails you are going through, to the Lord. I believe the Lord is going to move quick in this matter. I pray that the Lord heals and restores you marriage! Hold on to the grip of faith! I'll be praying!!! 22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
