Hello Family -

Wanted to write a quick note to update you all on what is going on.

School: Only one more class and I am finished with my degree in Leadership and Ministry at Ohio Christian University. Last class and final is on October 23rd!!! Keep praying for me! Also, be praying that I hear God's direction for the next step of my journey.

Work: Need some prayer of encouragement as I seem to have lost my zeal and passion for my current position. It is a wonderful job and a terrific place to work. They take very good care of the employees so I will not complain nor bad mouth my employer. It is me. Trying to figure out what I need or should be doing to continue to be a positive influence and contributor here. Also, they have added more territory to my area of respnsibility so traveling has increased. I am thankful to God for giving me this position and providing for me in this manner. He continues to bless me here and all of the praise and glory goes to Him!

Mom: As you know, Mom went home to the Father on June 22nd. Since then I have been working diligently at getting the estate settled. It has been taxing trying to work with the insurance companies and a myriad of other things that are necessary. Please pray for wisdom and strength to carry on through this. It has been extremely hard to go back into the home I was raised in and have to clean everything out. It raised up a lot of good and wonderful, yet painful memories.

Home: I have adjusted as well as I can back into the single life after 25 years of marriage. This has been a tremendous struggle but God has been faithful and walking with me every step of the way. Because of all of this, my faith and walk in God and deepened and grown. I am thankful to Him for all of this and pray that I can continue to be faithful and fruitful for His kingdom. It gets lonely at times but I have my two baby beagle boys and I know and understand that God is truly with me at all times so I am never alone. This is a tremendously powerful lesson to learn. You'd be amazed at the strength you can draw from knowing this truth!

Church Plant: God has given me a wonderful opportunity to serve as an Associate Pastor in a new church plant. We are Christ Way Community Church and are now 50 strong. Please pray and agree with me that God is going to do a mighty thing within the people of this area and that Christ Way may be a light that shines in the darkness. We want to be servants in the community demonstrating love as Christ would and not be just another Christian gathering place. Please pray that we are open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and obedient to His commands.

Well that is a quick summary.

I wanted to share it with you all my cyber-church family and tell you just how very much I appreciate your love, prayers and concern. At times I reflect on all of this wonderful technology and how we have the means of knowing and sharing with each other. It is amazing to me and gives me a sense of how Paul must have felt when he expressed his love and joy over being in communion with so many wonderful people.

I have always been encouraged by the vulnerability and humility you have for God. Sometimes the longer our journey is in life the harder it becomes for us to change or allow God to change us. It seems that you have a strong desire to be available to what God wants for your life. I know that if you continue to be an open book to Jesus through prayer and seeking Him, He will continue to give you strength and wisdom. I will say a prayer for all you have shared today.

Thank you friends for your words of encouragement. They are greatly appreciated. Isn't it great to be on this journey!? I never cease to be amazed at what doors God is going to open up to me. I know that he is doing the same for the both of you.

Stay strong and be encouraged by those things that God has allowed to be in your life right now. They are there for a purpose and a part of the perfect plan He has for your life.

Glory to God for seeking the Lord's face when needing encouragement. I stand on God's word for your life as a vessel and disciple of his guide. Father in heaven give this man the desires of his spiritual heart. Guide his spirit as he increases in you Word. Father I am excited for the route Howie has taken. May your ligth increase in his inner man so he can start working on your commision. May you strengthen his heart, soul, spirit and mind as we stand in the gap for my brother in Christ. May you ordain his feet, hands, and clear his vision as he applies his heart into the Ministry. Glory to God. May you feel the spirit of God flow through your whole body. May you know that God is taking you to a different level. Continue to stead fast in the Word and press in. I will continue to stand in agreement with God's plan for your destiny.
