I have applied for a part time job a couple months ago and was sure I was going to get it.
However, the job was filled from within and I did not get the position. I assumed that God did not have that job picked out for me.
Just last week something made me call again to see if anything new had opened up and to let them know I'm still interested. The job is at my local YMCA. To my suprise, I received a message from the Y stating that it is a coincidence that they do have some positions open. I don't know what to gather from this, but I'm leaving this one up to God. I prayed about it and I'll wait to see what happens. I really don't want to get my hopes up, but I am to call this person back today to find out if I will be chosen this time. I'm asking for prayer in this matter that God will direct my words and actions. I'm asking for prayer so I will know if this is for me. I so hope this is a good sign. I know God will guide me here.

I will absolutely pray that God leads you where you need to go. Our God will supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19). I know personally there have been times where its been hard to see how He would do that, but He always keeps His promises. Keep us updated Lisa.

Its almost 6PM this side of the world and am still at work about to go home.
Well I perfectl understand your position the case is different with me though because i have had a job from the very day I finished high school to the day I came from my diploma right to now. well I know you would say so how do you understand and I will tell you from my moms testimonies, but sometimes I havent also gotten the job I want but I should thank God for putting me where he wants.

Its true sometimes God Puts us in these situations. I have spent most of my time trying to work in a bank and have sent numerous applications and have gone to various interviews but to no avail, well guess what in the past 2 months in zimbabwe the whole banking sector has retrenched more than 5 000 workers, because they cant afford to pay them. Imagin how great the Lord is he knows everything even the future and where would I be today.

My dad used to work in another country and my family moved there too. My mom had to leave her old job where she was one of the bosses. after 5 years we came back home and my dad could not find a permanent Job he worked for the UN but whiles he was at home he used to do part time jobs but there were not enough anyway my dad was ill and all his money had to go to buying drugs. My mum went back to her old company and could not find a job she went to all these places she dreamed but never got it. eventually the Lord led her to some Hospital where she found a job working for UN. Imagin how awesome God is. Now God was preparing her, her salary was able to look after the family including my ill father. she paid for my college fees, my two young sisters my dads hospital bed I mean she could take care of everything. And when my dad finaly went to rest we gave him a decent respectable burial.

My message to you Lisa is not to show off but to try and show you that God has a plan for everyone and if he didnt give you that first job it is because of a speacial reason because he knows our thoughts and the future he see what we cant see. I have a job and I am lowely paid, I cant even help my mom out with house hold stuff, but when God wants me to move the time will come and I will move on. maybe there is a reason.

Despite all this I will pray for you that the Lord blesses you. The things you wish for may also be. I pray that he prepares for yu a good path and give you a job were you can be able to minister to others and continue with his work

I am in a similar situation as you – and all last week I was worried about work. I have decided the just Thank the LORD for what I have. And know that there are answered prayers up in heaven with my name on them. He is just waiting to give me my blessings. I am just saying LORD bless me anyway you want to. I have also started to ask the lord to line my agenda up with his (It is kinda that let your will be done thing. And oh boy when you pray that prayer Lisa your life will change). Trust me I have been there before. I have learned when you ask God's will to be done you better be prepared because he will have you doing/feeling in ways you have never ever felt in your life. (Smile)

I come to you this day asking that you give my sister Lisa comfort as she wait patiently on her next move. Father you know I am not really the one to talk on this subject, because you hear my cries for help in this area. But father what better person to us to get your message across than me. Father I ask that my sister say the right things, do the right things and that your favor rest on her right now. I ask that the position/job opportunity you have for her will be overwhelming. I ask that not only will she have so many she can not choose from but you will show her the one with her name on it. If anyone is checking this post. I got the part time job I was looking for. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. I thought to myself and said to the Lord, this just isn't what you have in store for me. What is and where should I go? Then something made me make a phone call to the director of the YMCA that I had applied with and leave a message. I wanted to let him know I was still interested and if anything new opens up please give me a call. And I thanked him. I wasn't expecting to hear back, but a week later I received a call that it was a coincidence b/c he was hiring at that time. Did the Lord tell me to make that call? I am greatful for that blessing. I know that the Lord will guide you in where to go, but on his timing. I have definitly learned to be patient.
