I have to tell you how deeply impacted my sister was from your devotional Yesterday Tuesday February 17th. For 3 months now we have been praying for her 20 year old daughter who left home to engage in a life of "wild living" with a guy she meet from a church concert. She found out just the other day that her daughter was going to be evicted from her apartment w/ her "boyfriend" for not paying their rent (because they had used it for drug money). The daughter's Christian upbringing has gone down the toilet and she is in a downward spiral. It has been VERY hard for my sister and brother-in-law to watch. They want to "step in"; but understand that it is not what God would have them to do. Your devotional came at the lowest moment in my sister's life when she knew she needed to trust God with her daughter's life. The Lord gave her comfort reading those words.
Please pray for this family. The eldest son(19) is also being manipulated by this daughter to give her money, and to do drugs with her & her boyfriend. And I am concerned that the son won't continue to have the "will power" to keep saying "No". I find the son needs constant prayer or else he is quickly led into temptation, but when I pray... he stays on the right path. I'm becoming exhausted praying most of the night, with 3 small children of my own 6yr, 2yr & 8 Months old. The mother & father of the daughter are on different watches of prayer during the the night and are becoming weary with work, church, homeschooling etc. I just wanted everyone to bring this matter before the Lord until we get an answer to prayer. Thank-you, and God bless, -- Family4Christ |

I'm very glad your sister has you to help her through this time. If you do not already know, these messages came out of a very long struggle with our daughter. This struggle is continuing somewhat even today after twelve years. When we walk through these kind of problems with our kids we need to be dedicated to long (very long) term prayer. God is very faithful, but His timing is usually slower than what we would prefer. Please keep encouraging your sister to NEVER give up. She will feel defeated so many times and will need to be reminded to trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and lean not on your own understanding - in ALL your want acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.
