Matthew 14
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Sister, you have chosen as your screen name a wonderful passage of faith, and one of my favorites. Often, I have put myself into the shoes of Peter, who seemingly has strong faith, for he had the courage to start out and walk out on the water toward Jesus. As we do however, Peter looks around at the seemingly impossible circumstances he is in and becomes fearful. Only then does he begin to sink. All is not lost, however, because Jesus answers the cries of Peter to save him, and God does. Divorce is one of the footprints of satan in our world. Through it, the enemy wants to destroy us, our children, and the marriage covenant itself. I know the pain caused by your separation from your children is intense, and at times unbearable. My prayers will of course be with you and your situation. As God moves in His perfect timing and will, cling to your faith and like Peter, do not be afraid. God Bless you. Nick P. |
