It's been a long, long time since I've been able to visit this site. It's good to be able to visit, again, for spiritual renewal.
If you could, please keep my family in your prayers. My husband & I have a little girl who's about to turn 1 year old. When she was born, we both had wanted it so that I could stay home with her. I was able to do that for the first 4 months, but due to unforseen financial situations I needed to go back to work full-time. Just recently, we thought that we were at a point where I could stay at home with her, again. However, my husband was let go from his job & we're on just my income, right now. My husband had been considering going back into business for himself, as a general contractor, but now he is struggling to decide what is best to do. We've been seeking God's guidance, but have gotten no clear calling, as of yet. In the meantime, my husband has done nothing to either build up his business or find another job & keeps commenting on how he doesn't know one christian family where the wife is home with the children. It doesn't help that I was having bouts of depression over not being home with our daughter. Now I'm heartbroken. Please pray that God give us a clear answer on what His will is for us & that He give my husband a desire & strong motivation once His will is known. Also, if it is God's will that I continue working, please pray that he set my heart at ease about not being able to be home during the day to care for our daughter.
Thank you & Praise Jesus for answered prayers!

Teri,

Your young family will be in my prayers. May the Lord give your husband answers regarding his vocation and peace in your heart regarding balancing your responsibilities to your family. I pray the Lord will unify you give His blessing in the decisions made.

Hi Teri,

Its great to hear about your desire to be a good mother for your kids. I understand that having the mother stay at home is always a difficult issue for married couples especially in America today. God has an individual plan for each household but we know that time with your kids and focusing on our family is at the top of God's list as to what our priorities should be. Many times, if not all the time, our greatest ministry here on earth will be to our kids and spouse. You and your husband are one and I will pray that God will give you a like mind regarding this issue. Continue to pray and lean upon the promise that God will give you the true desires of your heart in His timing. I would encourage you to find ways to support your husband with his ideas about this issue but to never hide your convictions or desires as a mother. I speak from experience when I say that when my wife has let me know her desires and convictions, God often times will give me the same ones. It would be great if this was always the case but it is not. I will pray that God will give you and your husband wisdom and peace.

(Psalm 37:3-5)

3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this

Your brother in Christ,

Teri,

I will stand in agreement with your prayers. My wife and I have 3 little boys and my wife has been taking care of them at home since 2000. I admire here hard work and the love she gives the boys and I. I have a full time Job and a business on the side. I am greatful that the Lord has provided for us but we have made some poor choices finanically and the Lord is pruning us because of this. I pray your family will really reach to the Lord today and ask him for direction, guidance, instructions for your life starting today.The Bible says in "Matthew 6:33-35
33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I know you are going through pain but God will stir up your husbands heart and the opportunities will manifest, as you ask from your heart.

Thank you Lord for allowing us to pray for your children. In Jesus Name! Amen!

22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
