Am having a hard time with her attuide with school and me. She asked me to homeschool her becasue she feels sh eis to busy talking with peers in her class to focus on her work, she has a learning diability so she is already struggling,. Please pray for my daughter's attuide to change towards school and me and If its Gods will to have her homeschool let him let me know. I so work from home so it would not be a problem but my concern is the attuide and would she listen to me to educate her at home.

I have a teen son (15, 10th grade) with a learning disability so I know how hard this is. It's been my experience that it's not so much attitude as it is the feeling of being inept ("I'm so stupid!") and that sort of thing. They lose interest because they feel stupid or they don't want to give extra effort, as they feel that they will just fail anyway.
I've also raised a daughter and when she was a teen, her attitude stunk. It's normal. Check with your daughter's school to see if they have programs for kids in her situation. My boy is in an "IEP" Individualized Educational Program. He's still learning, but his curriculum is modified so that it is not overwhelming. Also talk to your doctor about possible medicine or vitamin supplements. My boy takes garlic (natural antibiotic) and fish body oils (for the Omega 3 fatty acids) for proper brain synapse function. He takes these before bed so that there aren't those icky burps at school. He also takes St. John's Wort, 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off. These are natural and work great. He is not on any pharmaceutical medicine of any kind. The change in him from one school year to the next was fabulous. He'll never be a straight A student or anything, but he is passing, and is not overwhelmed. Proper diet and exercise was essential for him too. And I do not allow video games in my house. I will pray for you and your daughter. I feel your pain, as I have been there. Keep your chin up, keep the faith and hang in there! God Bless You! |

I know how overwhelming it can feel when you have a teenager with an attitude...but I want you to know that God will get you through this. Just keep praying and hold on to your faith. I will stand in agreement with you in prayer.
also wanted to mention that I homeschool my youngest daughter and it is the best thing that I have ever done. This is our 7th year of homeschooling. Kim S. |

I am sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time with your daughter. Mine are still very younge so it is hard to relate, however, this is how I pray sometimes:
Dear Lord, You know what my problems are and I know that you have an answer, yet I am unable to understand what it is. Please Lord let me see what you see and understand what is going on. Thank you Heavenly Father Amen. Maybe you could try it and see if it helps you too. Praying with you akjak24 |
