Most Gracious and Holy Father,
I humbly come to you asking that you would touch my son and open his eyes to see things as you see them. Lord, I ask that you remove any desire he has to do anything that is out of your will. Master please touch his mind right now in the name of Jesus. Precious father I ask that you direct his eating, diet, and his selection of friends. Lord I am begging you right now to deliver my son and lead him to a church that teaches your word. Then master I left up my mother and ask that you make her more understanding and replace her attitude with a more positive one. Master please lead her to a church that teaches your word. I am asking this in your precious and HOLY NAME…. AMEN Luke 2:49b Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business? |

Tanya -
Your love and concern for your son touches my heart deeply. How fortunate and blessed your son is to have you as his mother. Know that I stand in agreement with you in your prayer requests and ask God to make haste to bringing these things to pass in your son's life. I also pray that he senses the hand of God over him and on him each day of his life and because of it surrenders his whole self to God and His purposes. Be blessed my friend! Howie |

Tanya,
I stand in agreement with your request and pray that the Lord would open up his eyes of understanding. May the Lord also minister to his heart. These are all facts we are praying about but Praise the Lord because our God is a fact changer and nothing is impossible with God. I pray favor over you and your family. In Jesus Migthy Name! Amen! 22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 John Trevino |

Thank you all for your prayers....
I am asking you to add my son to your prayer question one matter of concern is school / his education. He was not accepted into the college of his choice; however, he is attending a local college with the plans to transfer. I ask that you pray for his educational success. Another area of concern is his walk with the Lord - he seems to be looking in the other direction at times and I am asking that you and your prayer partners continue to stand in the gap with me regarding my son. Another area is his weight he is strangled with his weight for a long time now and it seems he does not care and is making all the wrong food choices. He enrolled in a gym and Weight Watchers; however, he stop going. I do not want my son to die of hurt disease or health problems at a young ago. I do not know what to say or do and I need help and direction so that I can help my son. I work out 5 - 7 times a week; however, he does not want to anyone to go with him. I am afraid he will continue on this unhealthy path and it will eventually lead to an early early death. I love my son with everything I have in me and I am afraid for him. Please pray for us. I am sorry if I am going on and on; however, I just needed someone to talk to. I will continue to pray for all those on you’re pray chain and I thank you in advance! God Bless You, Latanya Luke 2:49b Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business? |

Tanya -
Do not apologize for sharing your heart. That is what we on the board are here for. we are family! It sounds like his struggles may be deeper than his weight if it is not an actual medical problem. When is the last time he has had a physical> Perhaps he may need to be checked to see if there is a medical condition causing his issue. If not, the eating and non-exercise may be the result of some other inner struggle that is going on inside of him. Hear me, I am not saying that it is, but it could be a manifestation of some other issue. After my divorce, I went into a depression and really struggled with self esteem and self worth issues. I lost my world and although I didn't totally give up, I did find unhealthy avenues to deal with my pain and frustration. The main thing was food. It became my best friend and as a result I gained a significant amount of weight. Then got more depressed becaused of how I looked. Now I am fighting back in this too. But I had to see that I was worht it. That God had a plan and purpose for me and that it was my responsibility to see it through. So I had to change some things in my life. Here are some of the things I'm doing: 1.) I journal everything I eat and drink during the day so as to keep my awareness up and make myself accountable to me. 2.) I have an accountability partner who checks with me regularly, encourages me and talks to me in love whether it be things I want to hear or not. 3.) I set goals for myself. BUT they must be measurable, reachable, realistic and attainable by a certain time. Start out easy so as to set yourself up for victory and then make them more challenging but not impossible. 4.) Educate yourself! 5.) Commit to exercising a minimum of four times a week. 6.) Pray and use scripture to edify and encourage yourself. 7.) Be involved with a small group some as to have a level of socialization in your life. It isn't always easy but it is possible especially when we give it to God. Because with God all things are possible to those who believe and are called according to His purpose! Amen! Hang in there Tanya! Do not become discouraged but hang onto what the positive and what God is doing in your son's life. God bless you! Howie |

Tanya,
That is some good advice that Howie mentioned. You may also have the doctor's check his thyroid. I know many people that have weight problems that didn't know their thyroid was not normal. Howie, Thank you for shaing your heart. It is very important to read scriptures daily to edify and feed that inner man. As I WAS READING THE HOLY SPIRIT started flowing through me. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Tanya, We have been prayer partners for the last three years and I thank God we can intercede for eachother. We will be praying! Pray this daily! A warfare prayer Gracious God, I acknowledge that You are worthy of all honor, glory and praise. I am thankful for the victorious work of Your Son, Jesus Christ at Calvary for me. I appropriate His victory for myself now as I willingly surrender every area of my life to Your will. Thank You for the forgiveness and righteousness that has been given to me as Your adopted child. I trust in Your protection and provision daily. I know that Your love for me never ceases. I rejoice in Your victory, my Lord, over all the principalities and powers in the heavens. In faith I stand in Your victory and commit myself to live obediently for You my King. I desire that my fellowship with You become greater. Reveal to me those things that grieve You and enables the enemy to secure an advantage in my life. I need the Holy Spirit's powerful ministry in my life; bringing conviction of sin, repentance of heart, strengthening my faith and increasing perseverance in resisting temptation. Help me to die to self and walk in the victory of the new creation You have provided for me. Let the fruits of the Spirit flow out of my life so that You will be glorified through my life. I know that it is Your will that I should stand firm and resist all of the enemy's work against me. Help me to discern the attacks upon my thoughts and emotions. Enable me to stand upon Your Word and resist all the accusations, distortions and condemnations that are hurled against me. It is my desire to be transformed through the renewing of my mind, so that I will not compromise with the ways of the world, or yield to the enemy's attacks, but be obedient to Your will. I draw upon those spiritual resources that You have provided me and I attack the strongholds and plans of the enemy that have been put in place against me. I command in the name of Jesus Christ that the enemy must release my mind, will, emotions and body completely. They have been yielded to the Lord and I belong to Him. Lord, enable me to become the person You created me to be. Help me as I pray to be strong in faith. Show me how to apply Your Word in my life each day. I know that I wear the full armor of God when I am committed to, and stand firmly upon Your Word. I want You to have the supreme place in my life. I surrender myself completely to You, Lord. You are always faithful and You extend Your grace to me constantly, even when I do not realize it. I claim Your promise of forgiveness and cleansing in its fullness. In faith, I receive the victory today that You have already put in place for me. I do this in the name of Jesus Christ, my Savior with a grateful heart. AMEN…..
