Hello family in Christ,

I am in need of prayer for myself. I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Because of high sugar levels, my eyes are very blurry and that is causing severe headaches. God is getting me through this, but my job is not as understanding. I have placed it in the hands of the Lord, and His will be done.

I have to admit that I thought I was a good Christian, but after seeing the Passion's movie and reading The Purpose Driven life, I have been enlightened by the Lord that I need to improve my walk with him.

So, I need to ask for your prayers that I listen to my heart and what God is showing me, and follow where He is leading me. I have been struggling ever since my mom passed away then my dad, and within a year my brother. I have never questioned my love of God or that He is in control, but my life was always so focused around gaining the acceptance of my parents. When they did not respond, then I would seek acceptance of others. What I now know is that I should have been seeking the acceptance of God, and ask Him what he thinks of me.

I have wasted so much time trying to please my parents, my boss, and those around me that I began to be depressed all the time, whiny, and feeling self pity for myself. So, when I did ask God to help me, I was being selfish and asking Him to help me in gain their respect. After seeing the movie, I realized that I was putting so much stock in the world and it's acceptance.

I know that God presented me with all this to bring me closer to Him. I know that now. I think that is why He has placed me in the situation I am in now at my job. I need His guideance. I love the Lord, and I thank him for this site and you all to help keep me where I need to be. The Lord bless us and keep us all in His glory while guiding us to do His work. Peace be with you, may you feel his love and God bless you for your honesty and that you are now in his realm of repentance. I am glad that he has given you a revelation so much now that you just want to follow him and be accepted by him and so my prayer for you is:

Heavenly Father in Christ Jesus name, may you keep Lexi in your walk every step of the way. When Lexi struggles remind her that Lord you are there to take those burdens that you overcame burdens at the Cross and may Lexi learn that when she rests in you, surrenders to you and your beautiful spirit that she will enter into his Holiness and just cry out and know God as Abba....and become so committed and totally awesome for you. For you are raising many people up at this time, the harvest is ready the workers are few, Heavenly Father thankyou Lord for inspiring and compelling Lexi to get closer to you in Christ Jesus' name...amen

Most Gracious and HOLY God,
I know what Ms. Lexi is dealing, as you know I myself struggled with that parent-pleasing thing. Oh thank you father for deliverance. Thank you father that we now know our duty is to please you first and everything else will be added unto us. Father thank you for healing because we have all been killing ourselves spiritually and we know it is not your desire for us to do that. But it is your desire for us to live as you did. We know just as you know we will fall down --but I ask that we get up immediately and repent and move forward in with your mercy and your grace.

Father, we thank you right now for the gift of fellowship with our brothers and sisters in your name. We thank you that we can encourage one another and that we never ever think we are alone. Amen

I myself have diabetes for over 15 years.By the grace of God and hard work,I AM FINALLY UNDER CONTROL.
I went from oral medicine, shots and now a insulin pump. I have prayed for healing but I am willing to be a testimony with obedience and God's word to overcome all complications. I had to make major changes in the way I eat. It was hard but I know through God's help I am able to live a life with more freedom. I love the insulin pump because it works the best for me. I have the paradyne 512 insulin pump, and have been on a study with the diabetes research for 6 months. I went from sugars out of control to almost normal.

I do exercise and read a book called " The bible Cure For Diabetes" It was written by Don Colbert Md. This is the wibe site if you want to order. www.drcolbert.com. I've learned that if we treat our body like the temple of the Holy Spirit, we will fix on eyes on healing from God's Word, nutrition and exercise,as Colbert says. It is difficult, but not immpossible.

Here is a Bible Cure Prayer from Don Colbert.

Dear heavenly Father, You have declared in Your Word that I am healed by the stripes Your Son, Jesus Christ, bore on His back. For Your Word says that " He was pierced through for our iniquities. The chastening of your well-being fell upon Him. And by His scouring we are healed." (Isa. 53:5 Nsa).

Father, Your Son Jesus has given us the authority to use His name when we pray. This is the same name by which you spoke into being the heavens and the earth long ago. In that precious name I declare that You Word is true: I am healed by the stripes Jesus bore on His back. Wheter I must wait a minute, a week, a year or a lifetime for my physical healing to be complete, by faith I will praise youfor it as if it were already complete. I thank you for a healthy pancreas that produces and properly regulates the insulin levels in my body. Help me make wise choices and follow the guidelines in Your Word concerning food choices, lifestyle, prayer and a thought life that is saturated with your living Word. Thank You for hearing and answering my prayer so I will be free to serve You with my whole mind, body, soul and strength, Amen. Glory to God.

Continue to seek God and pray for God's intervention. I agree with you in our healing! All things are possible when two or more gatered he is in our midst. Praise God!!

I have been getting togehter with others, that what a change in there spiritual walk, and to find their purpose on earth every friday night. We are reading and studying the purpose driven life. Continue to read the book. It will change your life. I pray that you and I would stand firm on God's Word for a supernatural healing. May you continue to draw closer to the Lord. He will not for sake you or leave you.

Praise God for the replies you got. I just want to encourage you to "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." James 4:8 . I urge you to find a church to help you grow in the Lord and have fellowship with believers. Renew your mind daily with the word, the bible. Start in John's gospel, then the Romans and Ephesians. I will pray that you will seek the Lord diligently because the bible says if we do, we will find Him and will not lack any good thing. Read Psalm 34 for encouragement. Trust Him with all your heart he cannot lie.

I pray for the Lord to bless you with a searching heart and when you apply your heart to get wisdom God will give you wisdom and guidance. just ask Him and He will give liberally. Renew your mind daily in His word and be sure to fellowship and worship with a church so you can grow. May the Lord draw you closer to him and establish you in the word and every good work.
