Stephen,
When doubts begin to surface, we must draw even closer, hold on even tighter, and trust him even deeper. No matter what battles we see with our eyes and hear with our ears, we must be determined to live each moment by faith and refuse to be afraid. Remember....Difficult moments, seek GOD, Painful moments, trust GOD. And remember if God brings you to it he will bring you through it. God Bless You!! Keep your faith and trust him.

Stephen
I will pray for you. Please read this as you said that you didn't know if you really knew God. We can know for sure by his word.
http://www.gdwm.org/salvation.htm
If you believe on Christ and what he did for you at the cross and repent of your sin and ask him to be your lord and saviour and indwell you by his spirit he will. It is his spirit dwelling in us that makes us have the power to not sin. God said that he would not allow us to be tempted above what we are able to endure but with that temptation make a way of escape so that we could endure it. You have the holy spirit in you guiding you and helping you. You just need to get into his word and find out who you are and what you have. Satan is a liar and is out to steal, kill and destroy. When you humble yourself before God and repent of your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive you. But you must spend time with him in prayer and reading his word. The fear of the lord leads to life and blessings. When you continue to sin willfully sin despite his grace, you will fall into a lot of trouble and heartache and terrible consequences that could have been avoided if you had known his word and heeded it's message to you. Read the book of Proverbs for wisdom and guidance. The bible also warns that the lord chastens those who he loves, his children when they disobey him and harden their hearts and don't heed his warnings or judge themselves. He does this to keep you on the straight path of righteousness. His judgements can be painful and sorrowful but he is doing that to save your soul.

Hello Stephen,

You have presented to us a picture of a man who is involved in the following sinful activity:
1. You are sadistic. You purposefully torment and hurt people.
2. Your life is filled with many lustful thoughts.
3. You are a habitual adulterer.
4. You drink alcohol excessively.

You say that in each of these activities, you are compelled to do them and seemingly can't stop doing them.

Stephen, each of these activities are sins committed by a willful vessel. None of them can occur unless you let them happen. I have several suggestions for you, as our prayers for you are made.

1. Your first step is to realize that only you, with God's strength, can make them stop. God will not force you to stop. You must purposefully cease, end, stop the activities that are not pleasing to God.

2. Rid yourlife of anything that will entice you to sin. Magazines, liquor, posters, pornographic internet sites, videos, whatever the temptation. Do not go to attractions that lure you into lustful thoughts.

3. Cease all adulterous activity immediately. Purpose in your life that you simply will not engage in this activity. period.

4. Bring yourself under the headship of a Christian brother who can come beside you to help. Make yourself accountable to regular meetings to talk about your battles, pray, study God's word with you.

5. For the time being, suspend your ministry activity. Until you rid your life of willful sin, you have no right to attempt to minister to others.

Stephen, I have said all this believing all that you have said to us is true. Credibility is a real problem for persons who seemingly cannot control their life in a way you have laid out for us. If you are being sincere with us, many believers are ready to help you. If you are "playing" with us, well...there isn't much more to say. We serve a rightous God, who will not be mocked. God has laid out 10 Commandments for us to follow purposefully, willfully, and without reservation. They are listed below and you can find them in Exodus 20:

Exodus 20

1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

In each of these sinnful behaviors, and we all struggle with one or perhaps more, our willful behavior can and must be controlled. Shaping your life in such a way so as to rid yourself of things that will make your temptations less intense will help, but in the end, you must make that decision to run, don't walk, to Jesus. He is waiting for you with open arms.

Hello Stephen. Since you came to this board requesting prayers I suspect you know that you have been living a compromising lifestyle. You may not have been surprised at the judgments passed to you even though most of us know to "judge not lest we will be judged" we seek to stand on guard against heeding to worldly living. I just wanted you to know that I am praying for you and can only say your admission of guilt is a good sign. God knows our every move and gives us all a chance to find him. Blessings, Jaybird

Your prayers are appreciated. I know I should probably make a public confession regarding the harm and danger I have placed that family in but I am not strong enough to. Anyway I am still paying my mistress off to stay quiet about some things. The church has known most of what I have done and must have approved because they did nothing to stop it. I will keep praying. thanks

Dear Stephen, I want to first of all tell you who you are. Your name (and if you want to know how very important this is, you can look at God's insistence on the names of men in the Bible, not the least of which was John and Jesus) means the following:

4735 in the Strong's Concordance:
a wreathe or crown
a mark of royal or (in general) exalted rank
the wreath or garland which was given as a prize to victors in public games
metaphorically it represented the eternal blessedness which will be given as a prize to the genuine servants of God and Christ: the crown (wreath) which is the reward of the righteousness
that which is an ornament and honour to one

This is who you really are; who you were created by God to be. This is who you can be if you choose to let go of the chains that are binding you and holding you back.

From experience I can tell you, the things we do and say are symptoms of unresolved needs and emotions and lies that lie hidden in our hearts. They come out as actions and we try to fix the action to no avail. We must find out what the root illness is if we want to stop the action.

Jesus is able and willng to show you what is causing your problems. He is Truth. And, His Truth will set you free. While you say you are not strong enough to expose yourself to others, I want to remind you that Scripture assures us that every word spoken in secret will be shouted from the mountaintop; and, that we can be certain our sins will "find us out". This may not happen today or in the near future; but, it will happen. We either reveal ourselves or the laws of God will come into play and we will be exposed.

The good thing about this is that the exposure or the bringing a thing to light, actually begins the process of setting us free. Nothing can be dealt with that can't be seen. We also can not get any support from others if we are unable to share what is happening to us. This isolates us and gives Satan more of a hold on us since our strength comes from being a part of the Body (a cord of three strands is not quickly broken).

Please don't interpret your church's lack of attention to this issue as condoning. We are just becoming a people who are afraid to confront things because it is no longer politically correct; or, because we know our own lives are far from perfect.

A side note on hiding your affair from your spouse. Your wife deserves the right to say she does not want to live with you because of your unfaithfulness. You have been unfair to her by engaging in this relationship with this other woman, and you can make that right by giving her the right to choose based on the Truth.

You also are being taken advantage of by Satan (he comes to steal, kill and destroy) as he is now stealing your money and your peace by making you think you can somehow hide what you have done. This adds fear to your struggle; and, your bondage becomes even greater.

Your striking out at "innocent" people could be the result of these horrendous weights that require some form of release: If you get the weights off, you may see the abberant striking out cease.

I want to pray for you Stephen. I have been where you are; in every way except taking out my anger on people I didn't know. I took my emotions out on my family. But, everything else you describe, described me 25 years ago. God's Truth came in and redeemed me. He gave me the strength to confess my sins to each person and to ask forgiveness. I lost my marriage and my home and all my "things". But, it started me on a road to freedom and life. I thought I had been living; but, I was more like a walking dead person...There was no joy in my life.

Since then, the Lord has restored to me all that was stolen. I am remarried; and, have a good relationship with my ex-husband whom I hurt so badly. I have started to rebuild my reputation. Occasionally the person I was is brought out in the open by someone from my past; but, I am not embarrassed anymore. I use it as an opportunity to witness to the changing power of Jesus Christ.

My prayer for you is this:
Precious Father, look upon Stephen with mercy. Deep within his heart, Lord, is hurt and lack. He is struggling to fill it, Father, and cannot. But, You can. Come into Stephen's heart, and grant him forgiveness. Grant him the desire to see things clearly. Grant him the ability to understand that Your laws will always prevail, and that no amount of effort on our part can prevent the reprecussions of our sin from coming upon us. Grant that he can see that by choosing to move into Your Hands for judgment, he will be removing himself from Satan's cruelty and dominion. With You, Father, even in our sin we find mercy and grace. Grant mercy to Stephen now, and start him on the path to freedom and peace. And, we will give You all of the praise and glory and honor due Your Holy Name. In Jesus blessed Name we pray. Trustworthy is our God!

Hello Stephen. What you might want to do is confront the church yourself if they went along with any illegal and immoral behavior. Has it caused division? Was it for popularity or money? The confrontation and real confession
with repentence should promote healing. We are praying.

Dear God in heaven hear our prayers - We pray against any wrongdoing and threats stephen and any of his co-conspirators have made against any innocent family. In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and by the power of His precious blood tear down and destroy any curses that have been made. We know the culprit behind evil and rebuke satan in the name of the Lord of all of the universe, whom was sent to die the horrific death to free all thoughout the ages. We know the devil will be a beggar in the end when he meets his fate. By the power of the Most Loving and Almighty we pray, in the name of His son Jesus, Amen.

Dear Stephen, you may have heard Dr. Dobson's interview with Ted Bundy in which Mr. Bundy told of his progression from entering the darkness of pornography to the murders of many young women. When we are told by Jesus to cut off an offending hand or pluck out our eye if it causes us to sin, I think he is telling us to cut off access to the thing that assists us in committing the sins. Get the computer out of your home. If your job revolves around one, get the internet browser taken off. If you cannot get away from the internet due to your job description, change your job. Your progression is typical and will only get worse, until you are unable to control your actions. Romans 1 seems to describe much of what you are experiencing:

18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.
26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Stephen, you must humble yourself before God if you want to have any quality of life. Your present path will only take you further and further from what you really want...I believe you are trying to "feel"...to prove that there is life in you. You feel dead inside and the only thing that seems to give you a sense of "aliveness" is when you feed this lustful spirit. God is willing to help. But, you have to be sick of what you have become.

May God be merciful to you, Stephen. May He work in you to Will and to Act according to His good purpose. May you turn from your wickedness and pursue life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Terri

The only authority given for judgment is not to us but from the father to the son.
"Moreover-the father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the son, that all may honor the son as they honor the father."

and the Lord s judgement is not to please himself or as vindication and said,

"By myself I can do nothing - I judge only as I hear and my judgment is just - for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

We are praying.

Lord God, I pray in the precious name of Jesus and by the power of your blessed word that You will overrule satan in this situation. Lord the heart is a powerful organ and you can cleanse and rejuvenate goodness within all whom are delivering curses and meanness. We pray that no more cruelties will be done to the family mentioned and blessings will overflow from your Holy Spirit. Nothing is too difficult for you Lord. thank you that You are working - Your will be done - in His name, amen

The word tells us to examine ourselves to see weather we be in the faith or not. You may ask yourself if you are really a christian or not. If you feel no conviction or guilt doing the things you are doing, it is likely you are not a believer. The word of God is foolishness to them that are perishing, they don't know God and can't understand the word of God because they believe not and God's word is spirit and is spirituallly discerned through the holy spirit in believers. If you want to be a christian you need to confess to God your sins and do the things I wrote to you in my previous post. Christ is knocking at the door of your heart and convicting you of sin. If you listen and respond to his call, he will enter your heart and change it. He changes hearts, we don't have that power. He can set you free of everything.

I WAS SINKING DEEP IN SIN
FAR FROM THE PEACEFUL SHORE
VERY DEEPLY STAINED WITHIN
SINKING TO RISE NO MORE
BUT THE MASTER OF THE SEA
HEARD MY DESPAIRING CRY
FROM THE WATERS LIFTED ME
NOW SAFE AM I
LOVE LIFTED ME
LOVE LIFTED ME
WHEN NOTHING ELSE COULD HELP
LOVE LIFTED ME
LOVE LIFTED ME
LOVE LIFTED EVEN ME
WHEN NOTHING ELSE COULD HELP
LOVE LIFTED ME

Hello Stephen,

Leg hold animal traps do not kill instantly, but inflict terrible pain and injury to the animal caught in them. Animals sometimes chew their leg off to escape from this torture. To gain some understanding of such pain, imagine slamming a car door repeatedly on your hand, until you were in such pain that you too would try to cut or chew your hand off.

Stephen, I am not trying to make you or anyone ill with grisly thoughts, however, the Bible does provide a similar description of such pain for us. That pain is exclusively reserved to those who are in perpetual torment forever in hell.

Consider these scriptures:

Matthew 8
11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 13
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 13
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 22
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 24
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Luke 13
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Stephen, can you list for me three, no just one sinfull pleasure you experience in your present lifestyle that is worth continuing in the face of the type of permanent torment described in these scriptures? As I said in an earlier message, I assume you are being serious with those on this message board and your thoughts are really as you have expressed them to be. The Holy Spirit has led you to seek prayer, ask questions, and gain understanding of your lifestyle. Now is the time to deal with your sin, Stephen. The Holy Spirit may not always be with you, as the Bible also clearly says that there may come a time when God may simply give you up to your own uncleanness and reprobate mind and the pull of the Holy Spirit will be withdrawn from you.

Romans 1
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Now is the time to be serious about where your soul will spend eternity, Stephen. Our prayers continue for you.

Stephen, I think that if you were searching the Scriptures, you would be confronted with this one in response to your question about why the lying:

John 8:44
For you are the children of your father the Devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning and has always hated the truth. There is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

We have to decide if we want to be children of God or children of Satan. We choose whom we serve. If we choose to do the works of the devil, we will be required very quickly to lie so no one discovers who we really are; and we then begin to become deceived ourselves by our lies until we are not able to stop ourselves and often we begin to believe some of them.

Stephen, you put your toe in the net and you have been snared. You are dangling upside down from the trees. The question is, if you are released, are you wanting to avoid the net; or, to try instead to simply circumvent it and not get caught next time?

My concern is this: even seeing the symptoms of sickness manifesting themselves in behaviour you can't control, you have not run to get help. This indicates you are not yet sick enough of your sin to be willing to do whatever it takes to get it out of your life. You love the sin more than the freedom of righteousness. But, the wages of sin is death. You have begun to experience a living death: death of conscience, death of emotion, death of your self-control. The death of the body is secondary to the death of the human soul. Your mind, will and emotions are dying as we speak.

I feel compelled to beg you to consider your state today while you have physical life left in you and choose whom you will serve. God will not be mocked. A man surely reaps what he sows. Choose Life, Stephen. Please choose life. Terri

Dear Bebe, Please understand, I don't mean to harm Stephen. If you see a child playing dangerously close to a fire, how do you warn them? Stephen's behaviour and reflections of how he is "feeling" indicate he is in the fire...Jude 1 says: 22Be merciful to those who doubt; 23snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear--hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

Stephen believes that his church condones his behaviour. Perhaps, they too feel he should not be confronted directly with his sin. But, that is not going to help him, nor save him from the inevitable ramifications of this type of behaviour. His only hope is to repent and turn to Jesus before it is too late. I am not brow-beating him. I am begging him to turn so that he does not suffer more than he already is. This is not a time to attempt to be subtle and hope he understands. This is the time to show him what God says is happening to him; what is right and what is wrong, because he is unable right now to see clearly.

I would rather speak the Truth in love, than to watch him walking toward the certain death and say nothing to try to save him. Terri

I had the chance to do something kind today for a person in the family I have been abusing and instead I used profanity. I can t understand myself. I appreciate your prayers. Stephen M.

ALAS AND DID MY SAVIOR BLEED
AND DID MY SOVEREIGN DIE
WOULD HE DEVOTE THAT SACRED HEAD
FOR SUCH A WORM AS I?

BUT DROPS OF GRIEF CAN NE'ER REPAY
THE DEBT OF LOVE I OWE
HERE LORD I GIVE MYSELF AWAY
TIS ALL THAT I CAN DO

AT THE CROSS AT THE CROSS
WHERE I FIRST SAW THE LIGHT
AND THE BURDEN OF MY HEART ROLLED AWAY
IT WAS THERE BY FAITH
I RECEIVED MY SIGHT
AND NOW HE IS WITH ME ALL THE DAY!

GOD IS REAL - HARMONY
