My oldest son, Neil still needs your prayers to stand with me regarding his health and his stubborness. He is suppose to go get another biopsy on his lympth nodes to see if they have cancer. He is refusing to go to doctor appointments and get the surgery. He says he can't get the time off work and he can't afford to anyway but his company has always been good about letting him off before and he can not afford not to take care of this matter. He also says he is not going to quit smoking either. He's resigned that he is dying anyway. Needless to say this is a challenge to us and his new wife who is expecting. Pray that God will give me and his younger brother opportunity to really talk with him about Christ and about his delimma in a way that he can understand and recieve. He is a wayward christian that may be experiencing some chastening of God. Pray for him to get right with God and think about his children instead of himself.

Grace & Faith,

I pray your son would hear the words of God's spirit. May he listen to his heart and not his mind for God looks at the heart. I pray he receives healing, both physical and emotional. May he except our prayers and receive a miracle as we come together in the mighty name of Jesus!

I PRAY THAT CHRIST WOULD GIVE YOUR SON A CLEAR CONSCIENCE AND A HEALED HEART, WHILE WE PRAY IN FAITH FOR HIS HEALING, AND WELL BEING!!

Grace -

I pray not only for your son, but for you and your other son as well. Know that what you may be hearing from your son is not rebellion, but fear, confusion and denial. Father, right now in the name of Jesus, I come again the spirit of fear, confusion and denial for Lord we know these are not of you. For Your Word says that you did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of love, power and a sound mind. Father, let Neil know this and your love for Him. May his faith be straightened and may his spirit soar to new heights as he rests on your wings of strength and love.

Father be also with Grace and her son. Let them speak only of love, edification and encouragement. Let them speak only the truth in love and may it be refreshing to Neil's soul. Guard them against in their thoughts and words and build them up too in their most holy faith.

You are awesome Father, you are sovereign and you love us with a love that will never end.

Thanks fellas, Your replies brought tears. It is so easy to get frustrated with him but I'm asking God to put a guard on my mouth so that I speak only life giving things to his fearful soul.

Grace -

Hang in there sister. God is going to see you and your family through this. This sounds simplistic Grace, but you have to trust Him with your whole heart. When I was going through my battle initially, I constantly reminded Him and myself, that no matter what the circumstance looked like now, I chose to trust Him. I encourage you to verbalize it. Speak it out loud so both you and God hear it.

I encourage you to tell God of your frustration. Tell Him what is going on inside you. Your anger, fear and your cares. I beleive God wants to hear these, He already knows you are feeling this anyway. But I beleive God desires us to real and authentic with Him. That is how real relationships are developed and moved into deeper realms. Brian Casey (a brother and member of this site) encouraged me to do this and it has really blessed me and help me and my relationship with God.

Please keep us updated Grace. We care so very much about you and this situation. let us knwo how we can help you.

Dear Grace&faith,
I know how hard it is to watch your children take a path away from Wisdom. I believe though that no matter what their faith is; we can intercede in their behalf and God will honor our prayers. I know this from the experience that many of you shared with me recently when my ex-husband went through cancer treatment. Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers as will Neil and his family. My prayer today for you is this:

Father, we come together to Your throne crying for mercy. Our son, Lord, is in danger and he is unwilling or unable to face it. Lord, we understand that by not seeking a doctor's care, Neil doesn't have to hear the verdict. And, we know that somehow the avoidance seems to make things more manageable. But, we also know, Lord, that the unknown gives the enemy a foothold—that he can spread his lies, and beseige Neil's heart and mind, as well as Grace&faith's. Lord, we don't know the answer here. We do know that You are able and willing to act in this circumstance. We know that as we come to You, that You do hear us and You do honor our requests. We ask for peace to come to Grace&faith. We ask for Your comfort to transcend these circumstances. We ask for Wisdom to come into this situation and to govern Neil's thoughts and decisions. Lord, we ask for mercy...Your gracious mercy that does not look at actions; but, instead looks at the heart. Reach into Neil and heal him: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Love him, Lord, as only You can love him. And, we will rejoice in You and in Your great love for Neil and for us. In Jesus Precious Name we pray. Trustworthy is our God!

Lord,
I come to you today asking you to guide Neil's footsteps right to the doctor. We know that he has your favor, I just ask that you touch his company's management to allow him to take time off work to take care of this matter and I also ask that the report from the doctor is an excellent report because you said that by your strips we are healed, we believe that you are a forgiving, merciful, loving Father and we that you for all that you are doing in Neil's life. We praise for the closer walk with you and we thank you that he will seek you first.

Thank you for your prayers. There is power in agreement of believers. Your kind words help and encourage me a lot. I believe I recieve the answer to these prayers when we prayed them. I can come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain help in time of need because of the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ and my faith in Him. He is in control. What satan has meant for evil, God is turning it all around and God will get the glory and work everything out for our good.
I am feeling stronger in faith and more at peace than before I posted the prayer request thanks to all those who prayed for us. Thanks to all who prayed but didn't post replies. I know you're there too!
