how do you build your trust in God daily, is it like just going about your business believing that God is there and that he is directing everything, or is it about focusing on particular issues and hoping for the best....

Hi Kaycee. I would say it's both. You must believe that Jesus is your Savior and that you would not be here without him. Once you have that in your heart, you must believe God is working in you, through you, and has a plan for you. You have a purpose. As I'm sure you have heard before, God's plan might not go as you wish at times, but it is His plan, and will follow through how it is meant to. Have faith, follow His word to your best ability, read the bible, praise Him, and you will feel Him with you at all times! It might be small, suddle things at first that make you aware that He is present in you. It could be as small as not getting angry when someone cuts you off but you must realize that you can not do the simplest tasks without him!
I'll be praying for you my friend.

Kaycee,

I don't think it can be over emphasized that God has revealed Himself in His Word. He expressed Himself to Moses in Exodus 34:6-7. You can tell that I am fond of this passage as it is my signature. As you study and think about your own relationship with Him, look for all of these qualities in God. His abounding in truth makes Him trustworthy. When we really, really know Him He becomes trustworthy to us in a personal sense. Then we find that we can trust Him to always be the God that He is – compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and truth, who forgives our sin. And however He chooses to intervene in our lives, He will be characterized by all of these traits. Even when circumstances may not be exactly what we would like, know that He will use them for His purpose. He is trustworthy!

God bless,
Chelki

Exodus 34:6

Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;"

"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" -- Jesus, the Messiah!, our salvation.
