I am new here. After trying to direct my own steps for 47 years, I've finally realized that God, specifically Jesus is the Way. Over the last month, I've been attacked where it hurts the most for me, my self confidence. After 23 years with the same company, we've had a management change and I'm now an outsider.
In the past, this would have put me into a whirlwind, however, with my new found trust in God, I know that He has better things in store for me and that my future will be OK.
As proof, last Tuesday, after a particularly bad day at work on Monday, I came home and my wife informed me that I had been called by two executive recruiters (completely out of the blue), then, 5 days later, I received a call from a third.
The mere fact that I have in my pocket a piece of paper with the recruiters names on it is tangible proof to that God heard my prayers. I can touch that paper and hold it in my hands and realize that the calls came to me, I didn't search for them.
