Dear GDW Family,

Just a quick update to say thanks! Last month I wrote and let you know of my desire to travel to Africa and to send more books overseas. Many people responded and I now have the necessary travel funds as well as the ability to distribute more than 1000 books outside the USA - praise God!!

I will be leaving for Kenya on November 1 and returning home on November 13. I will be visiting several of the churches we helped build last year as well as meet with two of the pastors who helped God's Daily Word run a Bible training program in 2006.

The main portion of this trip will be devoted to helping with a teaching project in western Kenya. I will do a little teaching, but my main goal is to learn how to teach local people from rural areas who have a strong desire to be pastors. I will be assisting a missionary who has been working with a group of 25 potential pastors for over two years. We will spend a full week teaching through the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). This is a wonderful opportunity and has the potential to open many doors for future teaching opportunities.
