If one of the persons is not a Christian during the wedding (giving of the vows), is it a marriage blessed by God?
Is the marriage before God broken if one of the spouses commits adultery? |

I was taught that GOD has 2 kinds of will - his perfect or desired will & his permissive or allowed will.
God told me that the reason why marriage is so important is because when 2 people have sex it's like gluing 2 pieces of paper together - if they seperate then it's like ripping those pieces apart; part of the one will still be attached to the other & some of the other upon the one. Now the paper is our souls, so if we proceed to have multiple sex partners it is doing irreperable damage to our souls. Adultery can be forgiven. "The more you know, the more you should realize how much you have to learn" Slade "God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you" (1 Sam 12:23) "let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified" (70 Ps 4) All scriptures are King James (Authorized) Version unless otherwise noted http://www.geocities.com/walkinlovelivebyfaith/ |

Hi Faith! I would think our Lord would bless the marriage with one being a christian and the other not. Possibly part of His plan was to join the two together so the christian in the marriage could lead thier spouse to walk the christian walk. As far as adultery goes, as Slade stated, it can be forgiven if the sin is admitted and asked to be forgiven. Jesus can see into our hearts and knows if our intentions are true -- to truly confess and tell Him "we will never do it again". If our intentions are to temporarily say we're sorry so we can be forgiven by God and our spouse, but we know we "might" do it again, but can continue to be forgiven, then I would think the marriage would be broken in the eyes of God.
