Me again!

The Lord has been telling me on numerous occasions to start looking through my spiritual eyes. I do find that difficult, because I have no idea how to do that.
I know that it's not having a "third eye" (seeing angels and demons) 'cause that's evil, but what do I then see? How do I identify it as spiritual and not my imagination?

Can someone please give me logical explanation of this? Smile

Olivia,

I believe God will show you wants real and imagination through the Holy Spirit. Keep asking the Lord to let you see everything through his eyes not ours. Let the Lord be the guide of your vision. He will always show you the truth.

I pray that the Lord would reveal to see beyond the surface of matters and know what is true and enduring. May the Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, guide your spiritual vision and may you penetrate the hearts of many with trails, calling forth divine miracles and possibilities.

A life with spiritual vision- is an understanding and insight that radiates from God's SPIRIT WITHIN YOU!!!

May God's Law of love and equity continue working mightily in you. May God adjust and correct whatever needs a touch of God's divine power.

Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look rigth before you. Proverbs 4:25; the pathway to obedience.

May our Lord grant you with spiritual vision giving you the guidance, and instruction, in every walk of your life. May He reveal the purpose of your "Spiritual Eyes"

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, My strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

When I think of "spiritual eyes" I think of eyes of faith that look UP to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Faith to know that Jesus is who He says He is, the sovereign, all-powerful Son of the Living God. Faith to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is with me, He is for me, He will never fail me. Faith to believe that ALL things work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Faith in Him for the past, present, and future. Faith that He will never ever fail me. All this faith leads to fully trusting His perfect plan and will, and then to praise...praising Him for who He is and for all that He is...wow, as we look to Jesus through eyes of faith, we know that nothing can come against us, it gives us the strength and hope to live above any circumstance...we know that we know that we know in whom we have believed. This may not be a "logical" explanation...there is no logic in eyes of faith...it is pure faith! Feed your mind and heart on the pure Word of God and scriptures that tell you what a marvelous God you serve and your wings of faith will take off like an eagle. The main thing is to look up, look up, look up...if I sound a little goofy, sorry, I am...I guess...really in love with the ONE who loves us more than we could ever ask, imagine or think. It's amazing love that we can never understand, comprehend, or merit...He saw that spike held to His hand, the hammer ready to crash down on it, and could have whispered "stop"...the whole world would have stopped right then...but you know what? He didn't do it. He said, "Father, not my will..." All of that, so that we can experience eyes of faith in the One who is Faithful and True. Fix your eyes on ..."Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." I hope this helps.... Smile

You know one of the things I have struggle with most is trying to analyze and make things in Christ make since. I have learned that all things in Christ will not really make since (at least for me). God told me to move to Mesquite Texas and I still do not know the reason why but I am hear. Logically it did not make since seeing as at the time I worked 10 minutes away from where I lived. Well two months after I moved I was laid off. That cut my commute time off, because once I move I had a 30-40-mintue commute to work. I guess if I would have been looking through my eyes I would still be in my old place and still laid off and probably not be about to start a job that I know the Lord has place on my heart for me to do. The spiritual eye is a powerful eye.

Dear God, I ask that you would strengthen my sister in Christ so that she can see the word through your eyes and not her own. I ask that you would grant me the same privilege.
Amen

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Olivia,

Like Signsalot, I believe the first and foremost way to see through spiritual eyes is to study His Word – knowing Who He is, what He says – the truth above anything else. Then you will be able to judge by the Spirit His direction. God will lead as we love Him above all and our priorities and purpose are aligned with His. It is a learning process and as we come more and more in relationship with Him we learn to hear and know His voice.

From time to time, as just recently, I have had the opportunity to see how God works through one of His humble servants, whom I won't name. In this respect he walks as closely with the Lord as anyone I know, and so over a number of years I have watched and learned from him. He is a remarkable man, but even more it is absolutely remarkable what God has done through him!

And the Lord is wanting to speak to and work the same with each of us as we listen to His voice and follow wherever He leads. May you simply have the will to follow His direction, love Him with all of your heart and know Him well enough to distinguish His voice.

God bless you,

Chelki

Exodus 34:6

Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;"

"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" -- Jesus, the Messiah!

God said in his word that you should ask Him for wisdom if you need it and He will give it liberally. The more you read His word, hear his word and pray, the more you will know His will from your own thoughts. Ask Him to give you the Holy Spirit if you are born again like the Gospel of John says and He will guide you into all truth and show you things to come. Seek Him with the whole heart and He will direct your paths.

Aloha & God bless you. I think you already got this answer, but here is my version: Deut 6:6-9; focusing on the verse 8 it says that the word of God should be frontlets before thine eyes. Perhaps you heard of rose colored glasses? well my opinion of spiritual sight is "God colored glasses". God told me "Don't judge the scripture by my experiences; but rather judge my experiences by what the word of God has to say" if we look at life through the lense of the Word of God it is a lot better for us & everyone else than if we were to look at it through the lense of cynicism. but it may be hard to do that if you don't know what the word of God says; & that is another reason why it is so important to "Study to shew thyself approved, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" 2 Tim 2:15 Jesus promised that the Holy spirit will be able to bring all things unto our rememberance, whatsoever he told us, but if we never heard it, how can he remind us?

It dawned on me that I forgot an important part of the issue, just that spiritual sight would also have to do with 4 of the gifts of the spirit; namely prophecy, word of knoledge, & word of wisdom along with the discerning of spirits. It is always important for us to pray to get ahold of God's vision because it says "Where there is no vision, the people perish" Prov 29:18.
