When God breathed into Adam's nostrils the beath of life he made us immortal, because like God, his breath has eternal life in it. The issue is where will we spend that eternal life. The bible promises us that all who call upon the name of Jesus will be saved. One of my favorite verses about checking my salvation is in 2 Cor 13:5 it says, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; proove your own selves. know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? I also want Rom 8:16 to be fulfilled in my life to avoid feeling like I will go to hell; it says: The Spirit beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. There is a difference between condemnation & chastisement, if you have a feeling like you may go to hell perhaps you gotta check your obedience level; because the scripture says in Jer 26:13 "Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you." & Jer 38:20b "Obey, I beseech thee, the voice of the LORD, which I speak unto thee: so it shall be well unto thee, and thy soul shall live." & 1 Sam 15:22b - 23a "Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry."

"The more you know, the more you should realize how much you have to learn"

"God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you" (1 Sam 12:23)

"let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified" (70 Ps 4)

All scriptures are King James (Authorized) Version unless otherwise noted

Hello. I am excited to inform you how you may know that you are His,

"because of His great love for us God, who is rich in mercy made us alive in Him even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. and God raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Jesus in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace expressed in His kindness to us by His son. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves - it is the gift of God - not by works so that no one can boast.

God has a present for you if you want it. Just open it up and receive His grace!

Hello Stephen,

A week or so ago, Grace and Faith provided excellent advice for you regarding the salvation of your soul. She referred you to the plan of salvation provided for you on this web site. As you review the salvation message, you will note that repentance is a very important part of your approach to God and salvation of your soul.

In your desire to be cleansed from your sin, you must repent from your sins. This is more than just mouthing the words, "I'm sorry". You will find a thorough definition of repentance on the following web site:

http://christiananswers.net/dictionary/repentance.html

Let's take just one known sin that we have all committed at some time in our lives: telling a lie.
When we tell a lie, we know it. Admit it, you know when you have said something that is untrue. You have said that you feel no guilt afterwards. Well, Stephen, that is likely not always been the case. That you perhaps have habitually lied to others and yourself will, in time, make it that much easier to continue to lie. This same process of growing accustomed to our committed sin is true also for adultery, viewing pornography, or hurting others.

If you can continue to sin, and feel no remourse for it, repentence by you has not likely been completed. Repentence means not only that you are aware of your sin, but that you are also aware of God's mercy to forgive you of your sin. Moreover, it also means turning away from your sin. This you must do, Stephen. Now is the time to do this. Turning away from God and resuming your old habits will only make it that much harder later. How much lower can you fall?

All you need do is now, today, this minute, fall on your knees, ask God to come into your heart, and truely, repent of your sins. If you really mean it, and want an assurance you will not go to hell, God is ready to meet you and show you a glorious new life free of the bondages that have invaded your life.

this is a good question. I am glad that you felt comfortable enough to ask it here. I would say that most of us have asked that question at least to ourselves sometime or other in our lives. I remember the day I seriously asked myself that question, and I suspect you have heard most of the info in the answers here before. when I was finally seriously seeking answers God heard my prayers and it was as though the fog had been lifted in my heart and mind. thank you for the question. we are praying and God bless
