In the 10 Commandments it says 6 days shall i labor and do all thy work but the 7th day is the sabbath. there are other places in the bible that talk about the sabbath so is it Saturday or Sunday!

William,
I believe the Sabbath to be the 7th day, which is Saturday. The Sabbath was an appointed time to cease from labor. However, know that the Lord does not prevent worship on any day of the week. God bless, Chelki Exodus 34:6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;" "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" -- Jesus, the Messiah!, our salvation. |

"The real SABBATH DAY is saturday, evidenced by the fact that it is 7th day of the week(6 days shall thou labor and rest on the 7th).Sunday is the 1st day of the week.Believe It or Not! _________________________________________________ resin surfaces | london chauffeur services | radley bags | d&d miniatures | house clearance This message has been edited. I believe that now that we are born again, and Jesus took our burdens, every day is the sabbath, and every day we are to rest in his care, his grace, now that is a spiritual sabbath, not a physical one of do no work, etc. - the point being that we are to worship God every day, every moment, and not just this one day - every day is Sabbath - so in the physical sabbath whether it is saturday or sunday is not the matter ... but that we spiritually live the sabbath everyday - rest and worship the Lord! We are not under the law, but under Grace!

I heard that it is scientiffically proven that we get the best rest if we rest on the acutal sabbath - saturday - i think the catholics got us confused about it being sunday, because they have their church meetings then & it is "the Lord's day" because Jesus rose form the dead on ressurection sunday & also in the new testament it says that they were having a meeting on the first day of the week (look at any calander & u will see that it is sunday) so meeting on a sunday is perfectly fine & also there was supposed to be a jewish tradition to only walk 3/4 of a mile on the sabbath so because when the church was starting there werent as many as there are today so if a jew wanted to go he might break said tradition if he went on the sabbath. - there is a scripture in Rom 14 that says something similar to bb - one man esteemeth one day above another - another nman esteemeth every day alike - let every man be fully pursuaded in their own mind.
"The more you know, the more you should realize how much you have to learn" Slade "God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you" (1 Sam 12:23) "let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified" (70 Ps 4) All scriptures are King James (Authorized) Version unless otherwise noted http://willbf.yolasite.com/ |
