Is there a place in Scripture that talks about "Sin only being for a Seaon"?

I looked up the scriptures with the word season in them and could not find anything except in Ecclesiastes 3:12. where it says there is a season for everything. verses 1 and 2 of chapter 3. Here is the online site I use for looking up scriptures. It's so easy and fast.

MLS,

I'm not sure how you are thinking of this term, but I believe the passage you are referring to is Hebrews 11:24-26. The King James version reads, "By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward."

The New American Standard version is somewhat easier to understand – " By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward."

Moses looked forward to the coming of Jesus Christ (even in his limited knowledge of the Messiah) and found greater pleasure in Him than in the treasures of Egypt and the pleasures of sin that would not last. Sin looks attractive at first, but when we are eventually caught in its snare it loses its luster. We can only repent and look to the Lord to rescue us. Moses knew from the time he was a very small child that he was a Hebrew and that God had great plans for His people. He preferred God's future promise for His people over the individual and present pleasure of sin for himself.

I hope this is helpful.

Blessings,

Chelki

Psalm 133 – "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore."
