Why do some people whom call themselves believers think it is alright to have abortions?

Well there may be many reasons, but here is a few:
1. These kinds of lust, a person might not be suitable or responsible enough afterwards. 2.Sorry for what had happen. |

There are many people who call themselves beleivers who don't know who Jesus is or what he stands for, many who don't read the bible for themselves, & only know what they were told. I did a study & found many passages about how God doesn't want us to do abortion but in the old days they didn't have that in it's present form; it was called child sacrifice, or passing (your child) through the fire. The secular argument that abortioon is ok does not take into account Jer 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
When we look at it from God's point of view, we were fully a human being long before we were born. But in order to not be fooled by false doctrines we need to fulfill the scripture that says "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." in our own lives. Then when we have the knoledge to share with others it is our privledge & responsibility to do so. If you want to look up the scriptures in my study here they are: Lev 18:21 & 20:2-5 Deut 12:31 2 Kin 3:27 2 Chr 28:3 106 Ps 37-38 Jer 7:31 & 19:5 & 32:35 & 1:5 Ez 16:21 & 20:31 "The more you know, the more you should realize how much you have to learn" Slade "God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you" (1 Sam 12:23) "let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified" (70 Ps 4) All scriptures are King James (Authorized) Version unless otherwise noted http://www.geocities.com/walkinlovelivebyfaith/ |

2 Timothy 2:14-16 reads:
14 Remind them of these things, and solemnly (1) charge them in the presence of God not to (2) wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to (3) present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling (4) the word of truth. 16 But (5) avoid (6) worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, Hello Darby: Slade is absolutely right. God does command us to rightly divide and understand His word. It seems, however, that those Christians who do not oppose abortion do wrangle about words and what they truly mean. As a result, many excuses and justifications are voiced about abortion and it's value in "some situations". Some examples: "Well, I am personally against abortion, but it is for each person to decide." or, " I am against it, except in case of rape or incent". Once we begin to justify our sin or the sinful acts incorporated in abortion, it is easy to lose sight of the truth in God's word as we substitute our own rationalization for the truth. Philosphers call this situational ethics, modifying the position to fit the situation or times. This web site does a good job discussing the rationalizations people often voice about abortion and the scriptural response to them. http://www.christiananswers.net/life/home.html Nick P. |
