Hi everyone

I'm not sure where to post this but i'll just go ahead anyway.

I'm starting my own media publication, or at least in the process of starting it. However, I don't know of anyone (christian business people) who i can speak to, to get some advice on how to go about starting it, from a Godly perspective.

Generally speaking when people start businesses they weigh up the risks involved and they arrange capital at the banks or however people go about it and theres nothing wrong with that, but I'd like my business to be built on Jesus as my capital and Jesus as the foundation of my business.

I was reading in Genesis last night and read the part where Joseph was put in charge of Egypt and everything in the land, only to the throne was pharoah greater than Joseph, what caught my attention was that, at the end of the drought all of egypt, the people, the land and all they had belonged to pharoah, besides the land that belonged to the priests...so clearly joseph had cool business sense...well, at least thats what i think.

Is there anyone out there that can assist me or advise me how on how, from a Godly perspective, to go about starting a business and then running it in a Godly and God honouring way?

anything at all, i'll appreciate it, PS. i pray morning and night about it, so maybe thats good start?

The most important thing in our lives is to cultivate a relationship with God & after we can recognize His voice, do what He says. Be where God wants you to be; do what He wants you to do; say what He wants you to say.

• 1st step - Keep God 1st in your heart: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Mt 6:33).
  
  
• 2nd step - Be fair: "A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight." (Prov 11:1) Remember God is not in the business of ripping people off; neither should we be.
  
  
• 3rd step - Be faithful/Have integrity: "Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him." (Eph 6:5-9) Remember that you are a servant to your clients/customers & a master to your emplyees/private contractors.
  
  
• 4th step - Pay your tithes: "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts." (Mal 3:8-11) Remember it's not that a mean God wants 10% of your money; but rather a loving God lets you keep 90% of His money.
  
  
• 5th step - When God has blessed you - be a blessing to others: "Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee." (Prov 3:28) & "If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?" (Jas 2:15-16) & "Give to every man that asketh of thee" (Lk 6:38) Remember you don't have to give them what they asked for, but we are supposed to be a blessing to people.

Of course you may want to ask around your church or for a directory so as to find a christian lawyer & or accountant depending on your needs.

Remember prayer is a conversation - not a monolouge - if you are in a marriage & you do all of the talking & none of the listening, would your wife consider that a relationship? Same with God; not only do we talk but we also have to listen to God respond & when He responds to us, our correct response is "Yes" - Whatever God says we say "yes" was one of the best sermons I ever heard.

Hey everyone, its me (Junior), i forgot my password and username, hence the new username.

Anyhow, i've just come back to give you guys and ladies an update about the business that myself and two others have been working on. At the time all of this started (october last year), i didn't have the finances to get things up and running,but for months i've prayed and trusted God to provide the finances and equipment needed, and God has come through, I now have a brand new laptop that i'll be using to do my research and also the actual work (writing articles).

it has also been really challenging as well because i'm becoming really impatient and can't wait until the site goes up so that i can get to work, but i guess thats just how things go, i need to wait on God. Also, God has made it possible for me to have an opportunity to study E-marketing/Internet Marketing at a University, which is exactly what I'll need to do my job really well, so not only has God provided the finances, but He's also made it possible for me to study as well. Prayer and Faith.

I give God all the glory. ALL.

Theres much more that i can say but perhaps i'll save it for another time, be blessed and loved.

Tristate bullyz Ive been threw the same bs with a big kennel that alot of people say are great business mind people. Before I spent money with them they were calling me and after I paid a recieved the pup I could seem to get an answer or atleast a call back telling me what up! Treat people how you would want to be treated regardless of your status in the bully world because I pretty Im pretty everyone whose at the top now didn't starte there.
