Can someone tell me if there is a verse that says God is a husband to the widow?

Lori, you may be thinking of Isaiah 54:1-8 where the Lord refers to Himself as a husband of Israel.
In verses 4b-5 And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. 5 For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the LORD of hosts; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth. God bless, Chelki Exodus 34:6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;" "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" -- Jesus, the Messiah!, our salvation. |

Also there is Jer 3:14 "Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:"
Not quite the same thought is 68 Ps 5 "A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation." "The more you know, the more you should realize how much you have to learn" Slade "God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you" (1 Sam 12:23) "let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified" (70 Ps 4) All scriptures are King James (Authorized) Version unless otherwise noted http://willbf.da.ru/ |
