Nick P said - In a world of "tolerance" all sin is grouped together, as if to say that "yes, I do sin daily in thought, anger and emotion, even in act, so I must be tolerant of the sin of homosexuality".

My thought is that we are to be tolerant to sinners, but not to sin.

The scripture says for us to be holy as God is holy.

Come out from among them, touch not the unclean thing & I will recieve you.

But nevertheless we have to reach our hands down into the muck to help lift someone up.

We may have to walk through the ghetto - into a bar - a whorehouse - whatever, gambling establishment - you name it - God sends his soldiers directly into the den of iniquity to bring the chosen out.

And while we are there we have to be wise as serpents but harmless as doves.

People are to see the light in us when we walk into a room.

We can never agree with, compromise with, or participate in sin; but we have to show love and hope to sinners.

It's a hard mission to do it right & we stumble from time to time, but a righteous man will fall 7 times & yet rise again...

We have to be able to tolerate the sinners presence without tolerating the sin - no matter how contradictory that sounds we are to find a way to pull it off.

But then again in some instances it says "A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject;" Tit 3:10 & "But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a {Christian} brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat." 1 Cor 5:11.
