My question for the day is can a person who is not doing the will of God, be blessed by God, if they bless a man of God.
In words, can a wordly person do things for the Pastor like by him dinner or other things and still be blessed by God.

Msyaumi,

Does this person have a direct relationship with God?
God has promised us salvation, forgiveness, and eternal life, if when we believe in him, we shall not perish but have eternal life. All things are possible with God!

I believe God chooses his blessings according to our actions.

The Lord knowns the thoughts of man,
That they are futile. Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, And teach out of Your law. Psalm 94:11-12

May the Lord continue to minister to your heart and equip you to witness to others, showing them the blessings you have received while walking with our Lord!

Thank you for your response. To answer your question No this person does not have a direct relationship with God (yet). He has a praying wife. This man is wealthy and doesn't mind taking the Pastor to dinner. But the question was brought up about can he be blessed by God for his gifts even though he is still clearly in the world. But I have read on and realized only what we do for God is going to pay off in the end.
Thanks again

I tried to look up a scripture but couldn't find it. Maybe someone else knows where it is located.
I read that a believer's household, spouce, children ect are santified by the believing spouse.
No doubt she is praying for her husband as are the Pastor and others for his eventual salvation. The fact that he is giving the Pastor his friendship and offers him dinners says to me that he is being
drawn to God because he is listening to the pastor.
Plus I believe that good things people do in life, even those not born again believers will get blessed for what they have done when they do good. There are spiritual laws that work to a certain extent for everyone. Like the golden rule and honesty will pay good benifits to one even though he /she is not a christian. The bible also says that the goodness of God leads men to repentance. She no doubt is praying that this pastor will have a good influence on him and will be able to answer him any questions. I pray for his salvation. For a more through answer to your question about our eternal rewards click here and print it out if you want to share it with him.

Dear Msyaumi,

As long as this wealthy man does not have a saving knowledge of Jesus in his life, does it really matter what blessings may come his way as a result of his good works? I believe that the question that you have raised is a good one, but moot.

The real issue is how to approach this wealthy man with the gospel of Christ, and who is going to do it. Sometimes, even believers become too wrapped up in the things of this earth, such as money, free meals, and other good works. The real gift to be spoken of here is the gift of salvation that this man so desperately needs.

I will join you in prayer that this man will come to Christ through his contact with those that know Christ. God Bless You, Msyaumi.

Brother Nick,
I totally agree with you, the real issue is this man's salvation. The question was raised when a person at work was asking if they are a good person, and do good deeds, for others but do not know the Lord on a personal level, can they be blessed by God. So the example was given about the man who buys Pastor gifts. His wife has a relationship with God and we are praying for his salvation. I was hoping this question wouldn't raise debate, but I really didn't have an answer to the question and I was seeking knowledge. I truly thank everyone for their input it has helped me a lot. I will continue to pray and seek for knowledge so when I am faced with difficult questions I can speak the Word.

Smile Your Sis in Christ
