I might have read this statement somewhere and it's been mind-bottling "Don't let your heart drive you, that you drive your heart". I am going through a separation and I have hope and faith that we reconcile our marriage. He is getting counseling and I'm praying. Please help me sort this statement out.

I don't know who coined the saying you mentioned but it reminded me of a thought that is described on the bottom of Campus Crusades for Christ tract, entitled "The 4 Spiritual Laws". Basically if your life was a train, you wouldn't want your feelings to be the engine. They belong in the kaboose.
Our primary mission is to get a relationship with God & do what He says; what we feel has very little likelyhood of being an excuse to disobey God. Let me give you a blessing : Eph 3:14-21 "The more you know, the more you should realize how much you have to learn" Slade "God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you" (1 Sam 12:23) "let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified" (70 Ps 4) All scriptures are King James (Authorized) Version unless otherwise noted http://willbf.yolasite.com/ |

Yes, I was bless by the words Eph 3:14-21. In fact,I have read it three times. My feelings can makes me do things I shouldn't so Christ lives in our hearts through faith that I do what is right. It's not the feeling but the love I have inside of me. I should be obedient to doing everything in LOVE and not be move by my feelings. I may not feel good doing somethings but do it in Love because Christ loves us. Thank you.
