Praise The LORD, Everyone!

It has been quite some time since I have visited the message board. I guess I have gotten lost in motherhood and all.

I received Steve T's mass message about Stacey and that made me want to share a praise report with everyone.

I have a brother, William, who has spent over half of his life in and out of jail. He is currently incarcerated. He may be released sometime next year. His repeated offenses are related to his being a slave to drugs and LORD only knows what else. Well, I am very happy to say that William got saved this year on March 6th!

I ask that everyone please pray for my brother. How many of us know that when a person first gets saved, they are very vulnerable to Satan trying to discourage them? He has had to deal with that of course.

I wanted to do something similar to what Steve T did with Stacey. I think it would be very encouraging to my brother if he could get some letters from anyone here. Maybe share a testimony to let him know that he's not the only one who has had to struggle. However, I want to ask the people who run this message board first: would it be okay if I posted the address where my brother is at this time? I'm sure he would appreciate anything anyone would have to say to him.

The Lord must of wanted me to see this post. As you know, I have been free from drug dealing, drug and alcohol use for 10 1/2 years. It's by prayer, grace, mercy and my willing to submit my self to the Lord. We have to die to our flesh daily, to be alive in the Lord. I had to be willing to allow the Lord too break me, so he can build me, mode me and shape me, for his service and glory. Kathy, I am free and I want my testimony to be heard so it may encourage your brother and many others.

William, I have you in my heart and in my prayers. Just remember you are a unique person that has an opportunity to go forward. We have to know that God does bring us through our burdens and strongholds. He loves you and wants your heart. May the Lord find favor in your circumstance so you can be a voice for others. The Lord will give you the strength and the courage to go on. God willing you and I can both get together through mail, phone, message board etc...

I believe that posting your brother's address would be a safe thing to do.

This is great news about your brother. This is just another example of how God accepts and pursues us no matter how sinful we were or become. His Love is greater then anything we can do. He is always ready to work and move in our lives. With out Him, how can we defend ourselves against sin? He is our Defender and Protector. God gave us one of the best examples of His forgiveness and power in the Apostle Paul's life.

Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
