This is written by one of my prayer chain members.

THE STONE

The dry and barren desert,
The tempter with a stone;
After forty days and nights,
Break fast, make bread, your own.

He came unto His Nation,
The Stone, to be the chief;
Was despised, scorned and rejected,
Upon the cross, each side, a thief.

Riding on a donkey,
The people shout with praise,
Some Pharisees cried, " Be Silent!"
Christ spoke, "The stones would take their place!"

No stone shall take my place,
Giving worship to the Lord;
Come join me in His Presence,
With worship, in one accord.

Roger Gilbert

22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
