Energized
Filled with the energy of Spirit, I accomplish all things easily and efficiently. Just as springtime brings newness and vitality to nature, prayer energizes and inspires me. So if I begin to feel overwhelmed or tired, I take a prayer break. I release any concerns, and as I rest in God’s presence, hope fills my heart, and my energy is renewed. Energy is the key to the fulfillment of my goals, and even a brief time of prayer renews my strength. Doing for others expands my sense of accomplishment, so I may find volunteer work, take flowers to a neighbor, or offer to walk another’s pet. I know, too, that taking care of myself is a way to preserve and restore my energy. I spend time in the silence with God. I enjoy a hobby or my favorite form of exercise. I listen to the still small voice of Spirit within me and do what is best for my soul’s growth. “Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.”—Job 33:25 22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 John Trevino |
