Ok, I will admit it. I Love the King James Bible. I love the richness of its words and find that scripture is particularly easier to memorize using words that I do not typically use in my daily life. Funny thing, I find myself using the King James lanaguage to people I talk to when referencing a Biblical teaching and sometimes sound like I am from a different era.

Anyway, for all of you who believe the language in the KJV is simply outdated, check this out:

I found these references on the attached web site:

http://www.net-magic.net/users/bmj/BiblePage10.html

My stuff, your stuff............Genesis 31:37

Moses job was too "heavy" for him...Exodus 18:18

That "smarts" (hurts) ..........Proverbs 11:15

Casement windows.................Proverbs 7:6

He "said to his self, self" ....Luke 12:19

"Man, I don't know what your are talking about" .........................Luke 22:58-60

Paul "wasted" the church, before he was saved, .........................Galatians 1:13

These are just a sampling of pastor Bob Jones III's research as noted in his website. Laughter is good. Smile

Encouragement for our daily lives in God's word abounds. We need only look on the situations in our own lives and those in the Bible to see that many are the same as are God's continuing promises to us.

Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8.

Praise the Lord!!

I Love the King James Bible! Its want I started with but I also use the New King James. I believe the Lord guides us and feeds us as long we are in convenant with the Lord and the Word. My Pastor at Church uses it frequently. So I believe it has its treasure and it truely has blessed me.

Thank You for sharing the Word and the encouraging websites.

May the Lord continue to minister to your heart and soul!

I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith. Romans 1:11-12

I prefer the King James sometimes because it is more beautiful and poetic. " Like Ps 23 But for studying I like my New KJV. It goes back to my childhood days of trying to understanding the bible and I wished that it was in everyday language and maybe I could understand more. There were words that are no longer used. It may please you to know both my sons prefer KJV. Thanks for the references, I was tickled
