LET YOUR HOME BE A WITNESS

If you and your household
Were raptured today
Or removed from this earth
In some accidental way.

Who would be there
To wander and roam
And sort through your belongings
And clean out your home?

Would your home be a witness
To the lord Whom you claim?
Would the stash in your cabinets
Dishonor His Name?

What's on your calendar?
Is the evidence clear
That you gave time to others
Not just your career?

Would your CD collection,
If weighed in a balance,
Bring glory to Jesus
Or praise earthly talents?

Are your priorities evident
In the way your home looks?
Would Jesus be comfortable
Reading your books?

Do your magazines reveal
Unwholesome desires?
Do your videos glorify
Murderers and liars?

Do your tax records show
That your tithing was sparse?
That the trust you proclaimed
Was all just a farce?

What's in your garage?
Do your possessions reflect
That your greatest desire
Is earthly respect?

Will all those people
Who enter your space
Feel the presence of Jesus
Or the world in that place?

Will they want to know more
About the God Who forgives?
Will they reject Him completely
Because of the way that you lived?

So clean out your closets
And sweep out your shame
Let your home be a witness
To the life you proclaim.

T2,

There are many things I had to get rid of from my home because there was some of my old things that kept weighing me down. I am not sure with all these things either. But I told my wife there are times we need to take out the clutter and continue to pray for our Home more often. The evil loves to keep us in confusion and clutter. I am so tired of feeling overwelmed.
T2, as soon as I got rid things that I thought the Lord wouldn't like me to keep around, I felt so much better and I felt the peace of God come around!!!

Heres an example: When I was a drug dealer I found an old brief case that I use to carry drugs, money etc.. As soon as I through it away it was like weight lifted of my shoulder. I'm not trying to make my family feel uncomfortable but I ask myself how would Jesus feel if he came in to my house to visit. I just feel in my spirit its easier to cleanse my House and let the Lord help me keep my mind at peace.

Praise God for his presence it times like this!!!
